Destroy All Humans!
is one of my favorite games of 2005. My only complaint was that it was
too short (you can rent it and finish the entire game in one weekend)
but it sold very well, and I hoped that a sequel result. I hoped so
much, I was willing to "get my coat."
Looks like my deal with the Robot Devil is about to pay off:
Destroy All Humans Sequel Coming in Fall
The sequel will be set in 1960s Europe, where Crypto will face off
against ninjas, hippies, communists, and Godzilla-style mutant monsters.
I liked it (the first) but only in short bursts of gameplay. Have you (or perhaps one of my other fellow commentators) played that zombie game on Xbox? it looked sort of similar to DAH, but I don’t rent games only purchase, can someone tell me if its worth the purchase?
oh hippies are fun and so are ninjas, and as for giant lizards, I think I need more of them in my empty life.
I love that game! Yes, I am female & older (much) than you so therfore I HAVE to get my son to put in all the cheat codes so I can simply fly around & DESTROY ALL HUMANS!!! I’m too impatient to play by the rules or maybe I’m too lazy to learn either way with a 14yr. old pod why bother? He laughs at me but I know he thinks it’s cool cos I’m the only mother at his school that plays that game or plays laser tag(AKA Scully) or has a Scifi collection you wouldn’t belive. Some people are just wired different. Can’t wait for DAH 2!!!!!!! Blog on with yo bad self!!!
Haha! My brother has DAH and I’d borrow it whenever I felt the urge to blast mankind, B-movie style. He’ll be excited to know that bit of info! At the moment, we’re both curious about GTA:Liberty City Stories which is now coming to PS2 next week, I think.
I still have too many RPGs and survival horror games to finish. This whole office/workaholic gig swallows my time.
I’m currently on temporary hiatus from Kingdom Hearts 2, Dragon Quest VIII, Haunting Ground, Silent Hill 4, and Fatal Frame 3.
Trapt is a fun game too. It’s from a popular franchise in Japan that started way back when on the PSX/PS1. The japanese name escapes me at the moment but essentially you play as this blonde princess who gets this cursed appendage called the fiend’s arm when she hides in this creepy mansion from would-be captors. To survive, she has to set up traps to kill her attackers which come in 3 varieties. (ceiling, floor, and wall trap.) You can link them up for awesome combo, instant kills and there are also enviromental objects that can be used in your traps too. The better combo you have, the more points you get which can get you better, nastier traps. The controls are simple enough too so there is no finger cramping.
I liked the game but i found it a bit to repetitive….
hey Will, I also see there making a online game of the star trek universe they have some pics of a galaxy class starship (wonder if it will bring back memories.) I posted a link to it under your GH article
I was hoping to catch a glimpse of you during Jay Leno’s coverage of the World Poker Tour, but no luck. =(
Interestingly, the Joss “My Master” Wheadon show, Angel, ALSO had mention of El Diablo Robotico.
Well, If you Don’t rent video games, I sincerely urge you to check out Gamefly.com…
IT ROCKS, I cant afford to buy all the 50 dollar games I love, and some games I just really wanna play but not keep, SO GAMEFLY.COM is my solution, IT WORKS EXACTLY LIKE NETFLIX. Where for a simple monthly fee, I can rent a game, keep it as LONG AS I WANT!, and return it when I have beaten it!
Or If I really want to keep it, I keep it till i can afford it and then click keep it and buy it directly from gamefly. I LOVE GAMEFLY! PLus when you are a member for so many months you can get discounts on games! 🙂 IT IS SO GREAT! and saves me alot of money.
We are definitely looking forward to this release. I don’t think anyone can claim to be a serious gaming geek without having played the first one. 🙂
I never played it. Maybe if they had a variant in which you went after specific groups, y’know, like Congress.
How could anyone not love this game? Picking up cars with your mind and hurling them into buildings? That’s been a life-long dream of mine. Not to mention all of the ‘sploding heads and places named after Bob Dobbs. Right on, I say. This game even expanded my cinematic awareness by exposing me to Teenagers from Outer Space. I only wish that Wally Shawn could have voiced Crypto. But that’s me.
Ooh, I think my brother’s friend has that game. KNEW I should have played it when I had the chance. *sniffles at lost oppertunities* Ah, well. Another time?
And hooray for Futurama references. Made my day. =D
yeah I loved this game. I guess I have somehting for 1950’s era sci-fi and even though this game may have had some faults, theres just not enough of these games going around.
I am looking forward to the 2nd and even the upcoming cartoons too.
