Does that mean I’m unloved?….heh
*passes the tissues*
“All of us get lost in the darkness
Dreamers learn to steer by the stars
All of us do time in the gutter
Dreamers turn to look at the cars”
– Neil Peart
“The Pass” from “Presto”
I hate to sound like a negative bastard, but it’s kind of disheartening to see how you tweet “Hodor. #hodor” and get over 2000 retweets; and others (yeah, like me), bust our asses to make a good comic, etc, and get like, 3 RTs.
Yeah, 33 year old me wants 13 year old to have been Wesley more than 13 year old me wanted it.
@Marc Boudreau, just un(der)loved.
I can live with that, heh.
I’ve got a question for Wil though.
I’m continuing to level up in geek and have started watching Enterprise but the intro music, holy shit, what the hell?! Enterprise stayed below my radar while on TV but seriously who chose the intro music? I sat through the whole run of TOS, TNG, and DS9 without getting the “nails on chalkboard” effect, third episode of this and I’m scrambling to find the remote to fast forward past the intro. #WTH? #GeekRant
How can I put this delicately?
Watch anything — anything, even Twilight — instead of Enterprise.
That bad, eh? Should I even attempt Voyager?
I know I’m just some random person on the internet, but I thought Voyager was a lot better than Enterprise. The first two seasons were a little ‘eh’ sometimes and I felt like Janeway whispered way too much, but they hit a good stride later in the show’s run.
I never got past the first season of Enterprise. It just never really clicked. That being said, I don’t’ remember the opening being BAD. It just didn’t feel like a Star Trek song.
The first few episodes of Enterprise are really, really bad. Overall the first season, and much of the second season, are just OK. Some character development, and a few good plots, but pretty much all bottle episodes. (although one thing I did like about the show was that things commonly ended without a full resolution, or a lousy resolution, instead of everything being great like most other Trek series).
3rd season has a season long arc that is pretty good, and 4th season consisted of several 3-4 episiode mini arcs, which were pretty good.
I also had given up on Enterprise when it premiered, especially after the gratuitous ‘decontamination gel’ scene, but years later watched it on the advice of a friend.
I got re-tweeted one time and I thought I was on top of the world….
So with that Game of Thrones reminder, I am also reminded of aYouTube video I saw recently by “Axis of Awesome” (which they are) entitled, “Rage of Thrones” [www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CLCOvZOh1o]
And while I might be late to *that* particular party, having read and re-read the series numerous times, I can certainly empathize with the singer’s lament.
Note: put down any beverages prior to watching and enjoy.
I sense a little bit of Rush’s The Pass in that title…
Just saw their Clockwork Angels show in Vancouver on Friday. Twas awesome as always.
You did that. You made people love you. You seduced the internet, all by yourself. Good on ya, Wil.
Have you considered taping bacon to a household pet?
… M-O-O-N. That spells Hodor.
Aaaaaand now I’ve got to go listen to Presto again. THANKS A LOT WIL.
so I’m the only one who thought of The Pretenders?
(apologies to Oscar Wilde, who I didn’t even know was the original source)
