I just changed the whole library. I added a section on the right called "play" and a section called "eat", because I love that Foreman Grill so much!

As always, the links that were on the right have been moved to the library.

Guess what? The soapbox is back.

You're welcome. :)

I've been working all day and night on getting Moveable Type to work, and I think I've finally done it!

I also installed a new soapbox, and now I'm working on the gallery.

Boy, this has been the most frustrating, aggrivating, tear-my-hair-out experience, ever.

Oh, this is big, big news, and I'm putting it here, just to reward the few, the proud, the geeky, who come and actually read the updates.

I found a way to let you read all the old greymatter entries!!!

You can't comment on them, but you can read them, which is SO DAMN COOL!!

The archive index is here.

Added the latest playlist, updated links to reflect the new location of RFB.

MT is installed, still working on getting all the old GM entries exported. New weblog coming very soon.

Added new items to READ LISTEN WATCH. I'm going to be adding a new section called "PLAY" with rotating links to cool games that I like to play. It will be funtimes.

Moved the old items into the library.

Put up a "broken" page for the soapbox and gallery pages. Since the move, some config stuff needs to be fixed, but it's lower priority than getting my GM entries back, and converting the whole damn thing to Moveable Type.

Oh, I bomb Korea every night. I thought you should know that.

If you've realized that greymatter is farked, and you've come here to see if you can find out what's up, congratulations! You are clearly the product of superior breeding and intellect. :)

I know that there is a big old problem with the gallery, and I'm trying to puzzle out what the problem is. It may be a few days, though...I've just gotten really busy lately. Look for interviews in People and Salon, and Wired. (COOL!) ::GRIN::

Soapbox is fine, as far as I know, so feel free to go there and post to your heart's content.

I'm thinking of redoing my entire site in PHPNuke, so things load faster and stuff. If you're a Nuke-weenie, please let me know. I am going to need some help, I'm sure.

Hopefully, everything will be back to normal soon.

So you may have noticed that the site has been down for close to 3 days. What happened was this: my site has become too big for the server to handle, and Josh and Loren and I thought that maybe the best thing to do would be to move my site somplace else. But I am really happy with logjamming, and really didn't want to leave, so we moved the site to a new IP and a new server, so the next time we get slashdotted, farked, or mefi'd, it will only kill my site, and not everyone elses. There was some trouble with the DNS, and it was only resolving, not So therin lay the rub, as they say.

I was also thinking that it was not the coolest thing that I kept having to put up the moose two or three times a week...having lots of people read the site is a good thing, you know. So hopefully being on this new server will take care of that problem.

Something everyone can do to help is this: when you post a comment on the weblog, no matter what, only click once to post your comment. The way greymatter is written, the server has to parse a huge textfile, and each time you click [post] it starts over. Multiply that times lots of people, and the server can barf, big time.

As far as site updates go, I'm ready to launch the new, super cool thingy that I've been talking about. Just need to clean some stuff up. Watch this space for details.

I'll be adding the pictures I took at the zoo tonight or tomorrow.

Changed the selections for the library.

I've made significant progress on the new, super cool area of the site. Should be able to launch it next week, I think.

Still working on the store.

Upgraded the Soapbox. Lots of nifty new features, and very stable. You can read the updates in the announcements forum.

Added TONS of new MP3s to the Radio Free Burrito, but I haven't updated the playlist...I'm working on this SUPER COOL system that lets you, the listener, browse the playlist, and then make requests yourself, sort of like The pAved Earth.

I'm also finally working on opening the real online store, so people can order stuff in time for the holidays. I'll be selling DVDs, pictures, and some really cool silk-screened T-shirts. It should be finished up sometime in the next week.

Soapbox is back open. Thank you to everyone who refrained from posting. It sure made things easier. I can't remember what all the old forums were, so I just made some general ones, thinking back to the "lots of topics/fewer topics" debate. I certainly hope you kids appreciate all the hard work your Uncle Willie put into this! < /stern grown up voice >

I'm working on something that is so goddamn cool. I can't wait to open it.

So my site was dead all day, today. It turns out that my server just can't handle cgi's very well, and all the commenting on the blog is killing it. So I'm sadly looking for a PHP alternative to Greymatter. Noah! Make a PHP version!!!

If anyone reading this has extensive experience with phpwebsite, please let me know. I'm working on using it for something very, very cool here, but I'm having some trouble.

I'm working on something wonderful...should have it done in a couple of weeks, or so.

Today I changed the Listen and Watch of Read, Listen and Watch. I finished Ishmael last night, so I'll add a new Read when I get a new Read.

I also moved stuff to the library, and added some text.

Gallery is all fucked up. I don't know why. It was working fine, and I am sure that I did something, because it's looking for the albums in the wrong directory, and I can't figure out how to fix it.

Goddammit. I hate computers.

Tested the site in Opera 5.12 today.
Everything seems to work fine, for me, so I don't know what the problems are that a few people seem to be having. Opera is a GREAT browser, and I heartily endorse it.
