…I present the Star Trek-inspired corset.
Set phasers to rawr!

I wrote A LOT about my sons, and our relationship, during this five year mission. It's rewarding and special to look back at those posts, now, knowing everything I know.
After a long Exile, I returned home this weekend. Until the heat death of the universe or I stop blogging (whichever comes first), I'll be back at WWdN.
This is the second to last post I made at WWdN:in Exile. I’m copying it here for completion’s sake. In 2001, blogs were very new things. In fact, as much more time was […]
This weekend, after way, way too many years in exile, I’m finally returning home. Wow. Typing that made me feel all the feels. I wasn't expecting that.
If only they had Star Trek Ren Faires. That’s pretty much the only place I can think of where I could wear one of those…
Damn. Need me o them. Though I don’t believe it’s regulation…
“Beam me to the boudoir, Scotty!”
With uniforms like that there would be a lot of hats being dropped amongst the fleet 🙂
lawdy lawdy. she’s about to pop out of that thing!
Awesome!!!
Very cool the wife’s birthday is coming up. Being the trek fan she is this might make a great gift.
I think TNG would still be on the air if Denise and Marina wore one of those!
And here I was thinking “set phasers to stunning” would be appropriate, but Wil…
RUE!!!!! RUE!!111 or something like that.
DAMN! Now I’ll have to wait till NEXT year’s Dickens’ fair. Timing Wil. Gotta work on the timing.
Yeoman, I dropped my communicator again.
Ya. so um, how are you going to convince the non-geek wife to wear one? I could use pointers to use on mine. lol Awesome find though!
This kind of thing is why the holodeck was invented.
Nice! At Game Summit’s (http://www.gamesummit.ca)next event we’re also featuring a T-Shirt “I’m the Geek your girlfriend wishes you were” 🙂 http://flickr.com/photos/gamesummit/3270299938/
Well that’s all it took to make my morning! Thank you meestir wheaton!
Now you post this! How am I to get this for my wife on Valentines? 🙁
I want!
I saw that shirt on Flickr. It is so totally made of win.
Unfortunately, that’s the Officer’s Dress Uniform from the new film. Though, men are allowed to wear tasteful black leggings if they so desire.
We’d love to send you one – where can I send it ya?
Doesn’t come with the Star Trek pin. Without it a non-geek might not recognize it for the awesomeness it truly is. Just sayin…
conversation with my wife goes like this:
Yes well.. I uhm…. what? oh her? no honey no no.. you’re far more.. hmm?? Uhmm.. Stop staring at… her?? Oh she’s just… *laughs nervously* .. Yer just talkin’ crazy! She’s not gooooood looking.. she’s just .. so so looking.. in.. a .. hot .. sorta geeky.. you know… way! *wipes sweat from brow*. Can I go do the laundry now, dear?
@LilDebLynn: When you read this? Consider me buying this for you!
Want. Want. Want. That is soooo hawt!
Oh NO! It’s RED! We all know what that means!
That’s not bad, but ultimately, brains make geeks sexy.
Mary, sapiosexual & nerdophile
I believe George Takai put it best when he said “Oh my”.
I’ll be in my bunk.
DAMMIT! Wrong SciFi milieu…
Dammit, Wil, quit making me want things I can’t afford. 🙁
Lol…well thank you for posting my corset! I had quite a shock when I saw how many views it had and then someone who is going to order it let me know about it being on this blog. And all the nice comments are very flattering too lol.
Hot Geeks Rule and will one day take over the world!
; )
Best. Uniform. Ever.
Ah, but it’s Next Generation red, which is different and less prone to away mission mishap than Original Series red.
i can’t say i’d wear that. but when i was younger i had the red shirt.
but geeky guys are sexy.
beards are a plus.
OK, we’ve all seen the trailer for the new Star Trek movie where Uhura’s undressing and she has on a plain white Maidenform bra – is there some good reason why she’s not wearing one of these instead? ‘Cause I can’t think of one.
What’s the point of going out into space if you’re just going to wear plain old underwear?
well…that is stellar.
Okay….I have a strict “no costume” policy but, for this, I’d make an exception.
THAT is HOT!
Rawr indeed.
Don’t ya love it when she taps the communicator to call the ship?
“If anyone needs me, I’ll be in holodeck one…”
Oh crap, that’s cute!
[:: sends link to all known female geek friends ::]
Goodnight Bill Theiss, wherever you are!
Uniform on squish setting. Exccccellent!
You need one that says “I’m the geek your boyfriend wishes you were.” I would wear the hell out of that.
I wish the pin was included 🙁
Dear. Sweet. Lord.
H&M had a tight little number back in October that was Beverly Crusher blue from the breasts down, and black on top with a scoop neck and 3/4 length sleeves.
When I saw that it immediately brought to mind Diana’s outfit in the first season, and I had to buy it. With my mom’s communicator pin, a set of high heeled black boots, and some pointy ears, I successfully pulled off a Vulcan Halloween costume that even Tekkies were fooled by.
And, yes, it was the sexiest gorram StarTrek costume anyone’s ever seen. Until you posted this.
Haha another DO WANT… and I agree with rabid, there should be a pin. And it should go bee-de-de-deet. And my GOSH I’ve been getting the TNG cravings strong lately…
Is it just me or does the communicator pin look just a bit like the thing covering Jane Jackson’s nipple during the SuperBowl “wardrobe malfunction”? Or maybe it’s just the placement 😛
“To boldly go where no man has gone before.”
Well, okay, there were a few ensigns here or there. Since then she’s sworn off the Romulan ale and heading to Ten-Forward after the late-shift.
uh… if anyone needs me, I’ll be in Holodeck Two. Om nom nom.
