I wrote A LOT about my sons, and our relationship, during this five year mission. It's rewarding and special to look back at those posts, now, knowing everything I know.
After a long Exile, I returned home this weekend. Until the heat death of the universe or I stop blogging (whichever comes first), I'll be back at WWdN.
This is the second to last post I made at WWdN:in Exile. I’m copying it here for completion’s sake. In 2001, blogs were very new things. In fact, as much more time was […]
Aaaaw! Sweet.
Is this a kissing blog?
What a beautiful picture of a beautiful couple. Congrats, Wil & Anne. =)
Congrats!
Many Blessings!
Cheers,
Bill
Congratulations! You guys rock!
Congrats!
Congrats, dude!!!
Gratz, man.
Truer words have never been said! Marrying my best friend was the best thing I ever did, too 🙂
Congratulations to you both!
Congrats to you both. Rochto and I are set to celebrate our lucky 13th in March.
S.
May you have many, MANY more thousands of days together! Congratulations ~ ^_^ <3
Super awesome. Congrats!
Listening to your Audiobook- Geek. You are an awesome dude, you deserve every bit of happiness you get. 😀
Congratulations!
We just had 15 on the 5th. Being able to laugh with your BFF rocks.
Win!
w00t!
Ding! Grats on Marriage Level 10.
Now you can move out of the newbie zone 🙂
And I agree, being married to your best friend does totally rule.
Congrats! Thank you for being in love, and maintaining my faith that people who TRY can stay married for more than 4 years! (it’s work, but dang, it’s worth it, isn’t it?)
… Awwwwwww…. look how romantic!
soo sweet! Happy anniversary and many more!!! My hubby Greg and I celebrated 13 years 10/26- and yes I agree about being married to your best friend. Napa is lovely too- can’t wait to go back. 🙂
Super duper. Hubby and I will be celebrating our 10th next March. May we be as cute as y’all are.
Celebrating 100 days early?
Congratulations on 3,650 days plus 3 leap days.
Also, ummm maybe I fail at math but isn’t 365 + 3 leap years X 10 = three thousand six hundred fifty-three days?
DOH. Goddamn my stupid dysgraphia. I had it written down and everything.
*headdesk*
Post title changed on account of I’m a moron.
I married my best friend a month ago today. He’s in Iraq right now, until next March or April, but we still celebrated. Sort of.
The vineyards behind you are absolutely beautiful.
Congratulations, @wilw and Anne. 😀
Aww, you kids are so cute! Congrats! 😀
Not a moron. I mean honestly, who even thinks of leap days?! :]
I hope your husband comes home safely, and ahead of schedule. Please tell him for his service for me, okay?
Those vineyards behind us are Camus, I believe.
Nah, Leap days are fine. It's being off by 100 days because I transcribed the number wrong that makes me a moron.
Congrats to the both of you!
Dude, don’t be so hard on yourself, after all… Math is the devil 😉
Awww…that is so beautiful. Congratulations to the both of you, blessings for many, many more happy years together to come.
D’AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.
Congratulations, Wil and Anne! Many more happy years to you!
(For the record, you just made me get all mushy with my husband. We just made it to five years in October. Halfway there*!)
*You now have “Livin’ On A Prayer” stuck in your head. Happy Anniversary. >:)
Wil, that’s a beautiful photo!! Congratulations to you & Anne – you’re so lucky to have each other. Hubby & I celebrated our 11th in June. 🙂

Aw, congrats!
Judging from the background, Napa looks to be beautiful!
You two are adorable and your love simply radiates! Congratulations 😀
Congratulations on 10 Blissful years together, and many more to follow.
Dude, I think I just died of the cute.
Seriously, though? Mazel tov. And many more!
Congratulations to you both. Here’s to many more happy anniversaries! You seem like a wonderful couple. Gives me hope I’ll find my best friend someday who gets me the way you two get each other. 🙂
Major congrats to you both. I’ve been with my hubby for 12 years as of January 2010 (married for four this past September). You guys looks very happy together. =)
Congrats Anne and WIl!!!! Not everyone gets to marry their best friend! If it was possible to pick parents, I would have chosen ones just like you guys. I hope you both have many more happy, safe years together. The best to both of you:)
He’s not the only one with that song stuck in their head now! Thank you very much for the flashback to 1980frigging6 to Slippery When Wet. Jeez…yesterday I had the theme song from Degrassi High stuck in my head, today it’s Bon Jovi. Help! I’m stuck in the 80’s wearing really horrible clothing and really, really high hair! lol
Best of Wishes Wil and Anne for the next ten. I am a newly-wed and step-father myself. It has had it’s ups and downs but I don’t regret a day.
Sometime, if I ever get you cornered somewhere, I’d love to hear your insights on the process and tribulations of getting published. My grandfather tried unsuccessfully to get published before he passed. I also am in the planning stages for a sci fi series. So obviously, I have a lot of interest in this. Oh and by the way….I loved your appearance on the Guild. I am such a geek. LMAO
Happy Anniversary you two. 🙂 Here’s to another fantastic 10 years, and then some.
It’s common to have number dyslexia. I do it all the time. The condition is actually discalculia. Almost sounds cool, like maybe I’m a Vampire.
Anyway, congrats to you and to Anne! 10 is a good year. We’re up to almost 12, and it DOES rule to be married to your best friend.
What's it called when you take numbers and turn them into letters and screw that up? I have fairly annoying (though not debilitating) dysgraphia, so when my brain has moved onto the next word, I often add whatever the first hard consonant sound is into the word I'm currently writing.
It's, uh, pretty embarrassing.
in the immortal words of my best friend….my burger’s jealous….but seriously, you guys give me hope that I can still find my guy somewhere out there….**okay, now I have that song stuck in my head**
I wish you two a long and happy life together….my parents, who were best friends, celebrated 37 years together just weeks before my mother passed away this past summer, so I hope and pray that you two get twice as many years together as that….
Wil and Anne: Here is to many more years of happiness together. And you’re right, marrying your best friend is AWESOME!!
Congrats to you and Anne, and no better place to celebrate than Napa.
Hubby and I celebrated nine thousand one hundred and thirty one days on our anniversary this year. Sometimes he is my best friend…other times I want to push him off a bridge. 🙂 Maybe that is the difference six thousand days makes??
