Happy 10 to you and Anne, a great achievement!
My wife and I celebrated our 5th anniversary last Saturday, November 7th.
We always toast to you, Wil….because you brought us together. We met each other 7 years ago on the original WWDN Soapbox (where 50,000 Monkeys can’t be wrong.)
She was in Atlanta, I was in Kansas City but not near a toll booth. 🙂 An admired post and fun signature-line led to emails, phone calls, plane trips, her moving cross country, engagement, marriage and a bright future.
Thanks again, Wil. You changed both our lives for the better, and we will forever be grateful.

I told him this morning (gave him the link to your comment). He said “Who is Wil?”
And then I had a mild heart attack.
We both appreciate the sentiment. Thanks @wilw. 😀

Happy anniversary, and welcome to the double-digit club. 🙂 Best friend hubby and I will celebrate 19 years in January 2010, starting to plan our 20th at Walt Disney World. Best wishes for many, many more anniversaries in the future.

    Congratulations Wil!
Funny timing, this. My wife and I are celebrating our 10th in February, and we’re planning a trip to Napa to celebrate (Darioush Shiraz FTW!) I was wondering if anyone could comment as to good times to visit? I’ve heard February would *not* be an ideal time. Would mid-April be better?

We’ve been watching all of the shows aired recently with you as a guest star. After you were the bad guy yet again, my wife asked if you were in anything “romantic”. I wonder if this will do.
    Happy anniversary!

We went to Darioush this weekend because OMG PISTACHIOS.
The Duel they are pouring now (2007, I think) was great, but it was their Vigionier that really surprised me.

Different actors are suited to different "types" of characters, like leading men, villains, side kicks, etc. While I would say I'm romantic in real life, that is not the kind of character I play well.

This is so wonderful, thanks for sharing and Congratulations! I’ve seen so many marriages that didn’t work, so it’s great seeing one that DOES, and that both people still love each other deeply after so many years.

  32. Franc Riopel says:

Congrats to the both of you! I’ve only been married for a year and a half and I’m happy, I can only imagine what it’ll be like 8 and a half years from now!
    Congrats again!

    Conga-rats.
Since your blog is bookmarked next to John Scalzi’s in my list (and that’s the link I intended to click), my first though was wondering Scalzi had a picture of Wil Wheaton kissing his wife – then I noticed which blog I was on.

Way to go Wil! My wife and I recently celebrated our 10th as well. It does indeed rule to be married to your best friend. Moderately interesting 10th anniversary story: On our trip to Paris the BBC was the only English-speaking channel on TV. They ran an ad, voiced by Patrick Stewart, touting Georgia as a great place to invest (when they aren’t picking fights with Russia, I suppose). Since then I’ve been wondering — has your agent ever contacted you about doing commercials for other former Soviet breakaway republics? Could be the Next Big Thing.

Happy Anniversary! My hubby and I celebrated 5 years married/16 years together this year. It is great to have married my favourite person!
I had a younger co-worker ask me recently if my husband and I talk a lot still. It seemed like an odd question. It’s natural for us to be talking ALL day long whether it be texts, tweets or emails while working. On the days I work during the day and he works at night, we usually end up talking into the wee hours of the morning when he gets home. We talk about our day, debate politics, discuss ideas for the house, new websites, new video games, tons of geeky stuff. It seemed like it was a real eye opener for her as she doesn’t have that in her current relationship. Really kind of sad.
Congrats again. That is an awesome photo of you two! Wishing you many more happy years together!

My wife says that she loves you and that you do a great job. And all she’s seen you in is BBT, Leverage, Criminal Minds, and it started with the D&D Podcast!
You’re that guy from the D&D Podcast to her, when I show her TNG its you as a kid, not Wesley Crusher. Pretty cool.

As a long-time lurker, I had to get a typepad account just to say Congratulations on 10 years, and may you have many, many more. We made 23 years this September – mainly by having separate interests – but still together, still happy.
Just finished reading Geek and you deserve the happiness you now have. Good on ya!

You celebrated three thousand, six hundred and fifty three short days with wine and roses? How poetic. No, really:
They are not long, the days of wine and roses:
    Out of a misty dream
Our path emerges for a while, then closes
    Within a dream.
    -Ernest Dowson
Here’s to many many more days.
