    You make me laugh.
Also I am sad I am missing out on this show. Damn you CBS.

They make Pirates of us all. CBS streaming is now absorbed by Peacock, which is better, but still not thrilled.

CBS is Paramount not Peacock, Peacock is NBC

I duh. Damn you paramount plus! I can’t do another streaming service.

I cheated CBS and borrowed it from my library.

CBS got the library’s money, so I tend to think that you’re okay. πŸ™‚

I love this show so much! Wish you were in it. I think various actors like you and Tracee Lee Cocco would fit well as recurring characters. =)

I’m sad, I’ve been with Star Trek a long time (since it started in 1966) and retired from a life-long career as a programmer, but I don’t know what “Lower Decks” is or means. Could someone enlighten me please!

Lower Decks is an animated series. It is in the TNG world, but has an 80s cartoon feel. It focuses on the crew in the lower decks….the ensigns etc. It is awesome!!
It streams on Crave in Canada.

No-one else here in the comments seems to be cottoning on that Mr. Crusher may be making a guest appearance on Lower Decks … can’t wait, Wil!

        Well, damn.

Or … you’re doing the “I didn’t get the thing … [thing happens] … YEAH, I DID!” fake out thing. Right?

        Right?

Could be a whole new character voiced by Wil Wheton. I would name them Parzival Cooper or Sheldon Watts as an homage to Wil’s narration and appearances on Big Bang Theory. Perhaps with a penchant for IPAs and a tabletop game that would look like the tri-level chess, but 3 levels of Settlers of Catan.

Indeed it is, on Amazon Prime here.

When do we get your cameo??? They absolutely can not mine 50 years of Star Trek for material and not include you. For all the feelings he embodies, Wesley is iconic and I think he needs to come back with the Traveler!

  18. Justin Nichols says:
    31 August, 2021 at 7:08 am

I mean they could at least joke about your appearance, in uniform, in Star Trek Nemesis. You once replied to me via email about any kind of explanation for Wesley’s magical return and you said, β€œI guess they left it up to our imagination.” Dammit, my imagination sucks. I want answers!

I was hesitant. I didn’t need to be. I’m an episode or two behind right now, but I just watched the “His Eyes Open” episode and I laughed so hard.

I love Lower Decks! It’s one of my favourite Star Trek series.

  22. Michael Kelleher says:

Nothing else needs to be said. Just started it last week and it immediately became my 4th fav series (TNG, original, DS9, Lower Decks)! Maybe someday we’ll get a pure-energy Wesley arguing with Riker about beard quality.

As much as I enjoyed season 2 of Discovery, Lower Decks is striking that perfect balance of humour and adventure that comes from a place of deeply loving and caring about Star Trek, and also realizing that it can be INCREDIBLY stupid at times.

I thought I would hate this. I mean, Star Trek Overt Comedy? No thank you, even though I loved Galaxy Quest which was a funny love story to Star Trek. I don’t like The Orville, but have never been a fan of Seth’s work in general. However, I got Paramount Plus for $. 99 for a month on prime day, watched Picard and Discovery and although not perfect, I thought the writing and acting was great. Just finished Lower Decks through the current episode and I am planning on keeping the Paramount+ subscription because I really want to see the rest of this, and the next Picard season (even though it includes time travel…. Yuck). Also want to see the new Captain Pike show (can’t think of the name for β€œreasons”). Just really happy that they have writers keeping true to the Trek legacy (no thanks to JJ).
