Turtle Boy

Seven things I am happy about today:

  1. When I woke up this morning, my wife was spooning me.
  2. I refilled my birdfeeder, which hangs just outside my window, and my backyard is filled with birds.
  3. One of the birds, a cute little finch, has been hopping from the birdfeeder to the window ledge, and looking in at me all day long.
  4. My cat, Biko, keeps hopping up on the couch, and staring at the bird, who doesn’t fly away!
  5. I installed a new microphone, and recorded some cool dialogue for the newest installment of Farkman!
  6. I’m this close to finishing up the last installment of SpongeBob Vega$ Pants.
  7. When I came home from work late Thursday night, Nolan was obviously happy to see me, and he kept climbing up onto my back, following me around the house, talking to me about all the things he did during the day, and telling me that he loves me.

And, a Thought for Today:

“Peace starts within each one of us. When we have inner peace, we can be at peace with those around us.”

    1. My cold seems to be subsiding, yay!
    2. It’s Saturday 😉
    3. Our landlord is installing new screens on our lanai today, therefore putting most mosquito entry to a halt
    4. My new webhost as of this week! I’m saving almost $20 a month now!
    5. Getting my hair cut today. It was getting scraggly, and I’m trying highlights for the first time, just for the heck of it!
    6. The way my fiance gives me a hug, the very first thing he does when he sees me in the morning, every day.
    7. The world isn’t as bad as we might have thought the other day. There truly is beauty to be found amongst tragedy.

  11. Seven Things I am thankful for Today:
    1. Getting my little cat, scooter, fixed, now I don’t have to listen to her howl all night long anymore.
    2. My husband is skilled enough to install my new windows (woo hoo!!)
    3. My 17 year old daughter can’t drive without an adult in the car.
    4. My boss will be leaving for 2 weeks on Tuesday.
    5. My new chair (bought for sitting in front of this computer).
    6. Canadian birthday parties, big one going on tonight over at Big Joey’s house.
    7. That my hubby looks so cute in his plaid flannel shirt, jeans & tool belt (yee haw!!).

    2. I got digital cable again. i missed the info at the bottom of the screen.
    3. that it’s a beautiful day in San Diego
    4. i’ve got all my cleaning done so I can play the rest of the weekend.
    5. my website is 85% finished – will be ready to go this weekend
    6. my car has been behaving itself lately
    7. that I found $100 error in my checkbook IN MY FAVOR on thursday!
    Now, if I just knew when my boyfriend was coming back from war, I’d be perfect.

    -7- That my animal’s are already fixed
    -6- When I woke up that my hubby and I were,the human pretzle.
    -5- That even though it snowed, it didn’t stick around,and most has melted by now
    -4-Today is my Hubby’s Day off for once on a weekend- in a long while-

    -2- This week is my Birthday!!!!! Thurs.
    -1- That were all in good health. 🙂

  15. Seeing as how everyone else has posted thier 7, I guess I will do the same.
    1.) The snow this morning covered the world in a nice white sheen. Seemed so peaceful and clean.
    2.) I didnt get up until noon today, which is always a bonus when you are at college.
    3.) I picked up a Cadbury creme egg (it doesnt take much to make me happy).
    4.) I just watched Rat Race…which is pretty funny, even if the ending is lame.
    5.) That I have a T1 connection to the internet via my schools LAN.
    6.) That I have today to catch up on what I should have done all week (homework, sleep, ect.)
    7.) That WWDN is there, and that I can feel as though some celebrity out there actually cares about what I think.
    Im easy to please…that doesnt mean I have delusions about how important I am 😉

    1.Like everyone else, WWDN and everyone else on it. Yes, even Jun. 😉
    2.It snowed overnight, 6 inches and still snowing
    3.Topping off the Birdfeeder this morning also and pouring Squirrel food into a large Terra Cotta plate because it snowed and there is no other available food for the Birds and squirrels.
    4.Seeing a flock of Dark Eyed Juncos, Chirping Sparrows, Black-Capped Chicadees, 2 Red Breasted Nuthatches, a few pairs of Tufted Titmouses, a Female Cardinal, a load of starlings and a couple Red-Eyed Vireos taking FULL advantage….going to have to refill the feeder again tomorrow. They ate an equivelent of a super sized drink from McDonalds in 6 hours, that’s a 4th of the feeder’s capacity.
    5.Taking Aelgifa out for a walk on her new harness and leash. She’s been teasing to go outside for a week.
    6.Watching her get a HUGE kick out of the snow, it was her first time she’s ever been in it.
    7.Being at home for the 4th day in a row. Ah! Vacation is nice.

    1.) My new roommate finally has his own key so I don’t have to wait for him to come back.
    2.) A roommate so I don’t feel so lonely any more. I just wish looks like Wil. Then again, it’s a good thing he doesn’t.
    3.) The family is still healthy. There were a few close calls recently.
    4.) My parents 40th wedding anniversary. I got to go visit them this week.
    5.) I can still “surf the internet” and come here. Soon I’ll show roomie how to do so.
    6.) I still got my purpose in life.
    7.) Everybody that inspires me.

  19. Hmm… 7 things I’m happy about today.
    1. I was pretty happy I woke up, I am totally hypochondriacal and always think I will be dead by morning.
    2. I’m happy it’s not raining
    3. I’m happy that I just put a new roof atop my house.
    4. I’m really happy my little brother who lives with me is spending the night at his dads.
    5. I’m happy I bought Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back last nite… that movie owns and now I have a new nickname for the GF “boo boo kitty fuck”
    6. I would be really happy if my tax refund would arrive grrr!!
    7. Finally I’m happy someone made me think of what 7 things I’m happy about today cuz I’ve been in a funk.

    I GOT INTO MY FIRST CHOICE PH.D. PROGRAM WITH FUNDING TODAY!!!
    I am excited and stunned at the same time, I almost don’t know what to do –this is just a lifetime dream come true for me. Just thought I’d share the good news with all you WWDN folks out there!

    1) Computer shows and the great deal I just scored on a new AMD system
    2) My buddy Huy, who called me last night to say ‘hi’.
    3) Huy’s dad who’s sending me illegal cigars
    4) Crossgen Comics (what Huy and I spent a lot of time talking about)
    5) I’m going out to Cali, Cali, Cali in less that one week and the job is poppin’ for it and I get to hang out with….yup…my bud Huy
    6) My job (see #5 above)
    7) My big huge upgrade on the Essbase systems I work on went smashing (that’s a very good thing) this last week.

    It’s also all about California.
    It is not, however, all about the Benjamins.
    Oh, for the AMD – get a temperature-monitoring program for it. AMDs are more prone to overheating, and they’ll melt faster than Mr. Ashcroft can break into song.

    either you keep your spoons neat and tidy with all the spoons facing the same way with the bowls cupped together or they are all higgledy piggledy with the bowls all over the place (which can be fun)either way you get the idea!

  47. Seven things my cat is happy about.
    1) All of the neighborhood’s bird feeder all you can catch buffets.
    2) Squirrels
    3) Mice. Preferably alive so he can try to sneak them into the house to play with.
    4) Moles
    5) Catnip toys
    6) Canned tuna
    7) Evaporated milk
    Get some hummingbird feeders. They are fun to watch.

    Of course, forking’s easy to describe.
