50,000 Monkeys at 50,000 Typewriters Can't Be Wrong

Hella

  • random thoughts

This is one of those updates where I say, “I don’t have time to update!”
I’ve got ten billion things to do this week, so I don’t think I’ll have time to say much of anything here.
However, if you live in Sacramento, you may want to come out to Boomer and The Dave Day tomorrow. I’m coming up from Los Angeles to hang with them, and play dodgeball against Tiffany.
Yes, that Tiffany.
It should be hellafun.
Ah, incidentally, I have heard this Ashley Judd rumor, and it’s news to me.

Dodgeball with Tiffany? Just don’t mention *those* pictures. Unless she mentions them first, of course.

    Hi Wil,
How cool is that dodgeball game gonna be with 2 of the sexiest teens of the 80’s and early 90’s playing. I hope you guys can keep all the admirers hands of you 😉
    Hope you win LOL

  8. Andrea says:
    16 April, 2002 at 9:06 am

Dodgeball with Tiffany? LOL! Do me a favor and pelt her one for me for that gawd-awful “I Think We’re Alone Now” song! Just kidding, just kidding. I saw her on a show on VH1 and she was actually pretty funny. Hope you two have a blast!
    >^..^

Hella kool, Wil. You can trick Tiffany by singing “Coulda Been” do her or something, because you know, it coulda been so beautiful, coulda been so right.
    Wow, nostalgia. 😉

  12. Jon says:
    16 April, 2002 at 9:31 am

I’m glad you commented on the Ashley Judd thing – saved me from sending you an email about it. When the first impulse is to send a “Did you hear about…”, I’ve finally learned to think twice.
Does Ashley Judd have a website? 😉

  13. Jess Lat says:

That sounds like hella fun… wish I lived close enough to go! Good luck and have lots of fun!

  14. kendoka says:
    16 April, 2002 at 9:36 am

    Dodgeball… *sigh* …too bad it’s been outlawed at most schools and summercamps. (;

  15. Juddrumormongerer says:
    16 April, 2002 at 9:37 am

Didn’t Judd herself claim the Trek marriage is true on Letterman? Is she lying or are you having memory problems?

  16. jl says:
    16 April, 2002 at 9:39 am

So the Ashley Judd rumor isn’t true. Aw well. Hope you have fun in Sacramento.

  17. MattK says:
    16 April, 2002 at 9:43 am

What I don’t get, is why Ms. Judd would make something like that up?
Maybe they’re gonna add her in a la Star Wars with a little digital manipulation?
Good luck at dodgeball Will. Smoke Tiffany one for us all dude!

  18. bluecat/redblanket says:
    16 April, 2002 at 9:58 am

He did not say it wasn’t true…he just said
“its news to me.” That’s not really a denial
now is it? We can dream!!
Dodgeball with Tiffany sounds like cruel and
unusual punishment Wil. ..What did you do?

  19. angry penguin says:
    16 April, 2002 at 10:00 am

So Wil, are you going to sing? Or comedy routine?
Should be interesting. Sacramento. Why can’t they have something closer to where I live? Have fun.

  20. Kethryvis says:
    16 April, 2002 at 10:06 am

Well I live in Sacramento too… but some of us have to *WORK* tomorrow. Heh. And some of us aren’t fond of Boomer and The Dave either… I’m a Shawn and Jeff listner ’till they go off the air 😉
Sorry I’m gonna miss you Wil, maybe next time 🙂 C’mon by Sac State and say hi if you want 😉 (I work at Sac State and I’m also going to be attending some great lectures on Terror and Tolerance tomorrow at the Union.. should be interesting)

  21. Kman says:
    16 April, 2002 at 10:08 am

Kendoka they’ve banned dodgeball in school??? I think it’s time for a pro league.

  22. Stacey says:
    16 April, 2002 at 10:21 am

What Ashley Judd rumor? What did I miss out on? Have fun in Sac, I lived there for 8 years, got out as soon as I could. 🙂

  23. Gaea says:
    16 April, 2002 at 10:42 am

    Dodgeball with Tiffany
That sounds like either a bizarre indie film or a pron film title.
Ashley Judd: Apparently on Letterman the other day she said something about reprising her Star Trek role as Wesley’s girlfriend in the new movie.
Oh and damn you Wil Wheaton, I’ve started using the word ‘hella’ in daily conversation. Maybe it should be part of our WWDN secret signals. Three ‘hellas’ and a weird hand movement, or is that what makes Wil appear in your mirror?
*sheepish grin* Sorry apparently I am in an odd mood today.

  26. Gaea says:

    Rugby with David Hasselhoff?

  27. Jon says:
    16 April, 2002 at 10:57 am

I disagree with Scaryduck-whatever it takes to get Tiffany off her dodgeball game is fair game…*especially* those pictures!
Then again, those pictures could get Wil off his game…:/
Cartman, why do you always have to say hella in everything?

  28. Robert Berry says:
    16 April, 2002 at 10:57 am

Don’t forget that besides the Dodgeball, Wil and Tiffany will be performing, yes PERFORMING at a charity concert at the Scratch 8 Billiards club in Old Sac. You can read more about that with details/directions at http://www.retrocrush.com/kwod

    Ha.
All the cool kids know that kickball is where it’s at.

  31. Roger says:
    16 April, 2002 at 11:06 am

Cool, it sounds like fun. Too bad its Boomer and the Dave. BTW, the morning guys you listened to years ago are Shawn and Jeff, but they jumped to a different station now.

Dodgeball, eh? I hear that Tiffany has quite an arm. Just a tip, Wil: cover your face. With your crotch. Then everything will be safe.

i’m thinking hella’s a california word… as it doesn’t seem to be in circulation here in denver.
and speaking of yom kippur… i downloaded a tiffany song when napster (rip) was still around and i was really impressed! i wasn’t into the whole mall teen queen thing way back when, but this “i’m not sleeping” song i’ve got is quite catchy.

  38. goofy says:
    16 April, 2002 at 11:52 am

Didn’t you (WW) and everybody else on the ‘net get the memo about using the term “hella”? I guess not.
Here’s the gist: It’s hella un-cool (like Disco). Stop using it.

  39. Kimiye says:
    16 April, 2002 at 11:59 am

“Hella” is a South Park word– first place I ever heard it was out of Cartman’s mouth, as in “Hella cool!” It might have been used regionally in CA, but the Comedy Channel is where I remember it being popularized. ‘Course, that was in 1997, back before some of you were born…

What Wil *hasn’t* said is that the whole Dodgeball With Tiffany thing is for a charity helping single mums get back on their feet. Good work that man. Selects the FARK “Hero” tag.

  42. Mandy says:

I’d have to say Tiffany’s best song is “New Years Day” with Front Line Assembly. That’s right. Front Line Assembly and Tiffany.
Of course, it’s a cover of a U2 song, and I am a mad fan of U2, so I might be a little biased.
Wow… dodgeball. I haven’t played that in ages. I know what I’m going to be doing this weekend now. 🙂

  44. I Am Steve says:

So wait, just so I understand since I came in so late…
Will and Tiffany are getting married in Sacramento tomorrow, but the jealous Ashley Judd started a rumor last week on Letterman that she was going to challenge Boomer and the Dave to a dodgeball to the death match.
    That’s news to me.

  45. bluecat/redblanket says:
    16 April, 2002 at 12:32 pm

    Wellllllll..Uncle Wil is so modest!!
OK..I take it back its NOT cruel and unusual
    punishment..its A FINE AND GALLANT EFFORT>
    You DO “make us proud”.

  46. Ellen says:

Oh dear. If I show up for the second of your Sacramento visits with KWOD as well as having gotten your picture at the first, does that make me a stalker? Hmm.

  47. Marc says:
    16 April, 2002 at 12:59 pm

Oh, too sweet. That’s only 40 minutes from me. Hopefully I can get up there and cheer ya on, Wil!

  48. Spudnuts says:

Two fucking deejays in SACRAMENTO stole my idea for a kickball league (changed it to dodgeball, but who the fuck are they kidding)?!
    Godammit!
Say hello to Vlade’s murkin, Wil.
You DID tell them you’re a Lakers fan, right?
