50,000 Monkeys at 50,000 Typewriters Can't Be Wrong

beautiful day

Posted on 29 April, 2004 By Wil

OH MY GOD!
I just got off the phone with Anne. Kris got the results of her biopsy just now . . . and IT CAME BACK CANCER-FREE!! The chemo and radiation have done their thing, and she’s safe for at least two years!
I feel like I’m going to cry. I saw Kris this morning at Anne’s salon, and I thought she looked healthier and better than I expected. We talked about the support WWdN readers have given her, and how much your love, prayers, mojo, tantric healing waves, and crazy voodoo monkey magic have helped her at this time.
You guys . . .
I just don’t know how to express how joyous and grateful I feel right now.
Anne will write more details later on.

As a survivor of Hodgekin’s disease (9 years – yay me!!), I have an idea of what Kris was going through. Having friends and family beside you, supporting you the way you and Anne supported her, is essential to one’s recovery. They are constant reminders of why one has to keep fighting.
From all the survivors around the country – thank you for bringing attention to this organization and for all the work you and Anne have done.
CONGRATS KRIS!!! May you never have to go through another day of chemotherapy again!

That’s such amazing news. I was having such a good day and I didn’t think it could get better, but… Lo and behold! I was wrong. I’ll keep sending good mojo Kris’s way, in hopes of a continued clean bill of health.
Thanks for passing the news on, Wil. 🙂
    Much love to all.

    That’s great news! Hurrayyyy!
Will, I found your site totally by accident. Briefly, I have my blog on Live Journal and the URL is above. It’s interesting 😉
Anyway, I’m not a crazed fan. I hate Star Trek, but will always love SBM. HOWEVER, when I was a budding girl, you were one of the ONLY boys on my wall. As I am a lesbian, you should be proud!!
Anyway, I too am a fan of Homestar Runner and Think Geek so I thought, “Hell, I’ll check his blog out.” Here I am then.
And again, hurray for cancer free!

    Wil,
I have been trying to post a comment for “The Bear” but it won’t accept my comment; it keeps telling me “comments not allowed for this post.”
    Help, please.
    Freeman 🙂

Wil, sending lots of > to the Bear, from me and my two kits, Bernadette and Wallace. The love of a kitty is a precious thing and I’m sure that your positive outlook is helping tremendously. Hang in there.

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEETNEEEESSSSSSS!!!! BIG YAY AND HOORAY FOR KRIS!!! I know Im late responding to all of this stuff.. My son was in the hospital for 4 days (thurs-monday).. So I had some catching up to do. But that is wonderful to hear. I lost a friend last august to advanced t-cell leukemia. It hit him hard and fast and he was gone within 2 months after the diagnosis. So I am very happy to hear that your friend is beating the boots off that nasty disease!! Keep it up Kris!! We are all pulling for you!!

    Wil –
I enjoy reading your posts, but when you say: “…how much your love, prayers, mojo, tantric healing waves, and crazy voodoo monkey magic have helped her at this time” don’t you see the lack of intellectual integrity? I’m so glad Kris’ cancer is gone, but do you really think my “mojo,” etc. had anything to do with it? do you really think that’s how the universe operates. I’m expecting far more logical, realistic thinking from you.
