F**king Canada … may be awhile before I can get it, but in the meantime it’ll serve as an incentive, something I can reward myself with when I start working again.
    :o)

  2. Wil,
I love that cover. But in my opinion you are such a hottie (shows my age I’m afraid, and yeah that means I’m a bit older than you) HE HE HE. I think you always look great! I can’t wait till the book comes out! I want to be the first here to get it.

  3. It’s taken a long time to find something worthy of replacing the Argonath as my desktop wallpaper. 🙂

  4. Wil,
Congratulations!!! I clicked on the picture, linked to Amazon.com, ordered the book–they said book will be shipped July 6.
Beautiful picture but a certain sadness in the eyes. I know there’s a smile there waiting to jump out.
    Freeman 🙂

  5. Now that is a nice cover… it makes it more personal and human. I think this will fly off the shelves… smart move Wil!

  6. Dude, I love it!
Sorry I didn’t comment sooner, but I saw the Comments (0) mark of a fresh post and didn’t want to be tempted into writing a lame “yay first post” message… hahaha 😉

  7. Congrats, Wil! You should come to Austin, TX and do a signing at Bookpeople. Bruce Sterling had one there last week (granted, he’s local, but said that his publisher would’ve had it as a stop even if he didn’t live here) and David Sedaris is next month. I’m sure the O’Reilly people can handle it, but if you need a local contact just let me know. I think you’d get a good turnout.

  8. Thank you, Wil. NOW I remember why I had such a huge crush on you when I was 15. Okay, there’s one mystery solved. Now to find the answer to why the hell Jay Tavare’s so damn fine…

  9. Congrats Wil!
It amazes me how little you have aged after all these years. Still cute as ever.
I’ll definitely add this to my collection. RAWK!

  10. Preordered. Awesomes!
Wil, I look forward to seeing you when you come to Portland. I got the chance to have you sign a Monolith Press first run of DB and I will be bringing my copy of JAG to make it two for two.

  11. Holy. Shit.
You guys, right now, Just A Geek is ranked number 74 at Amazon.
Behold, the power of 50,000 Monkeys.

  12. Huh… I’m showing it as 88. I wonder if this is one of those “they change X based on the person” things… maybe ranking “my favorites” stuff higher than they might otherwise be.
Anyway, I’m also showing only one other book in the list that’s not OUT YET.
Just the two of ya. Very cool.
    You must be Geeked.

  13. Remember Nimoy’s book? I’m Not Spock. It was a huge hit in the 70’s. Want to bet you’re is the TNG’s version.

  14. Rad cover, Wil! Also, makes me realize why I had such a crush when I was…Erm…Younger. 😉
At any rate, this is definitely one of those “put my tips in a jar to save up for” occasions! Congrats!

  15. Sweeeeeet!!! What a wonderful way to end a wonderful day. I had a great day! And then I came to check up on the site to see this surprise and it just made me smile even more, despite all the pain from all the smiling that I have already done today. Its GREAT!! Its a wonderful picture and the layout is amazing. It couldnt have been done any better. Wonderful! Just Wonderful!

I’m totally digging the front cover layout. That’s a very good picture of you.

  19. What I want is the unabridged audio book. I love hearing authors read their own work. But unabridged only.

  20. fyi (from amazon FAQ) –
‘The top 10,000 best sellers are updated each hour to reflect sales in the preceding 24 hours.’
this gives us insomniacs something to do all night…lol
