Excellent! I like the cover…and the book is 41st on the Amazon top sellers list at the moment. Not bad going when it isn’t out yet!
In case anyone was wondering, Amazon.co.uk also have it up for pre-order.

  17. Jesse C. Slicer says:
    22 May, 2004 at 7:31 am

    Pre-ordered it DIRECTLY (along with a Linksys WRT54GS 802.11g router). I think I’m just a geek myself.
Wil, care to add Kansas City to your list of book tour cities?

  18. Matthew says:

As someone making tentative steps into the literary world I have been watching and learning from the progress of your book through your blog and audio log entries.. and I have to say that I hope you don’t mind me sharing in the good feeling that comes from seeing the fruit of such intelectual and creative effort. I am sure to harass my local bookseller to contact your publisher and send us some copies ( I live in one of the more remote regions of the Australian outback ) to this here little city of ours.
    congratulations mate, top effort
    Rick the sentence runner
p.s No not everyone here talks like Steve the Croc Hunter umm actually I’m yet to meet any other Australian who speaks like that bloke.

hmm, it’s doing well. It’s 26 right now at Amazon. 11:22 am Central.
I’m going to buy it at a book store if I can swing the bucks. Sorry I can’t add to the presales numbers.

  25. Chris says:
    22 May, 2004 at 9:29 am

    Just pre-ordered on Amazon UK…
    Chris.

  26. Craig P. Steffen says:

11:50 Central Time #23 at Amazon
I would like to point out for the record that going through the top 25 items, there are 4 that have not been published yet:
    3) “My Life” by Bill Clinton
    11) “Song of Susannah” by Stephen King
    21) “Ten Big Ones: A Stephanie Plum Novel” by Janet Evanovich
    23) “Just a Geek” by Wil Wheaton
    Wow. Congrats Wil!
And oddly, they don’t have a cover photo up. Somebody should ping O’Reiley about that (on the assumption that Amazon needs their permission to put up the cover photo).

  27. Kelly says:
    22 May, 2004 at 10:02 am

    number 26 on amazon’s sales rank….no wait 23,
    congrats Wil

  28. Sean says:

  30. Colleen S says:

    Yes please come to Canada,
Niagara Falls area. I would love
to have you sign my books.

  31. Craig P. Steffen says:
    22 May, 2004 at 11:44 am

13:38 Central time: JAG is number 21 at Amazon.
Just a Geek has now passed the Janet Evanovich book, making Wil the third-highest pre-ordered author after Bill Clinton and Stephen King. Whoo-hoo!
WWDN readers: A force to be reckoned with. I wonder if eventually we’ll get our own market segment? “Stephen King’s new blockbuster novel has fallen to #3 with Young Adult readers, but is still climbing at #2 with WWDN readers.” 🙂

  32. Johnnynb says:

    I thought you should know.
