I missed the ACME show on Saturday night, because I hurt my neck so badly on Friday, I couldn’t even stand up Saturday morning. More on that later.
As if the pain in my neck and shoulders wasn’t bad enough, I’m trying my best not to get sick, now. I think it’s just the dry air from my heater and the weather the last few days, but my throat is sore and scratchy, and my sinuses are all dry and ouchy . . . so I’m just going to put up this quick reminder and get back into bed:
- I’ll be reading and signing Just A Geek on Tuesday November 30th down in Huntington Beach, at Barnes & Noble. I have rehearsal that night, so the event will go from 7 until 8:30. Watch for me doing Warp 11 up the 405 to get back to Hollywood by 9!
- What’s My Line? The show starts at 8. More details can be found at j.keith.net, including a two-for-one discount.
- I’ll be at ACME this Saturday, December 4th, for a preview show of ACME Love Machine. The show starts at 8.

Hey Wil,
I’m going to throw my hat into the ‘help Wil remedy’ bin. For your neck problems, I do yoga. It stregnthens you and makes you more flexiable at the same time, its also something you can do with your wife. It won’t help you this time (though it could work out some kinks immediatly), but you are much less likely to injure yourself or your muscles if you are strong and flexiable. AND you get to watch women in tight clothing bend in really neet ways.
/I’m not a freaky granola girl, I swear, it really is good, tough, excercize
Ugh, I have The Cold now, too, I think I got it on our wonderful Thanksgiving trip :-(. Feel better Wil — Breathing Thyme Yogi Tea has been a godsend for mine, maybe it will help you too. Gonna look for those Chinese Herbs everyone’s recommended, too, myself. I chime in too, that the neck aches can be because you’re working too hard, going too fast. Slow down, chill a little, you’ll feel better!
I know this is probably a little late, but an old boss of mine said to gargle with Listerine when you start to get a sore throat. He said it would shorten the amount of time you are sick as well as fix the sore throat problem sooner. Well, it works for me. I use the minty Listerine as the original stuff is just plain gross.
File that away for next time Wil.

Went to the reading/signing. Thanks! Got home, saw an email from eReader.com showing their latest releases and asked myself, “so why doesn’t Wil ‘Just a Geek’ Wheaton publish his book as an ebook?”
Note to self: White Bronco’s travel slowly on the Northbound 405, thus, Wil would not be driving one to get up to Hollywood in a 45 minute time span from Hunting Beach. (If you weren’t at the signing you wouldnt understand.)
Hope you made it to rehersals in time Wil! Traffic wasn’t too bad when I left.
Singing and reading last night was fantastic! For being as under the weather as you are, I couldnt tell the difference.
After our short conversation, you looked at me and said “Thank you very much”, and my reply without thinking aobut it was “No, Thank you…” And I’ll attempt to explain that a little. I was thanking you specifically for not only writing the book, and reading from your book, but I was thanking you for letting “us” be an active part of your life (well, your blog anyway). And I think I can safely say for the majority who post here, that we all thank you for being a part of our lives, as much as we’re a part of yours.
Ok, enough sappy crap.
You’re a great verbal story teller Wil, and I’m looking forward to more of your signing/reading sessions, as well as your on stage performances.
I’ll be in the audiance tonight at ACME, and now that I know about it, I’ll have to become a frequent visitor to ACME. I’m always looking for stuff to do any given night, and ACME might just be the place to fill the voids.
Break a leg tonight Wil!
