50,000 Monkeys at 50,000 Typewriters Can't Be Wrong

one by one

Danica McKellerMy friend Danica McKellar, (probably best known for playing Winnie Cooper on The Wonder Years) is a fantastic actor and writer. A few years ago, we worked together in a short film called Speechless . . . which she wrote and directed.
Yesterday, Danica e-mailed me that she’d done a photoshoot for Stuff Magazine.

I did a photo session for “Stuff” magazine last Wednesday– the first time in my life, ever, taking pictures in lingerie!!

The editors of Stuff want to know which hottie from the 90s Stuff readers would like to see in their magazine. Now, I’ve known Danica since forever, so she’s like a little sister to me. The Protective Big Brother in me wants to say, “No way am I going to encourage people to check you out in sexy pictures!” But there’s no denying that she’s grown up to become quite a beautiful woman. Her competition is Jennie Garth, Elizabeth Berkley, and Kari Wuhrer. Though I had a mad crush on Kari Wuhrer when I was younger (read: last year), and I knew Elizabeth when I was a kid the world has already seen a whole lot of them in (and out of) lingerie. Danica is my good friend, and I’ll gladly endure the trauma of seeing her in lingerie so she can make the cover of Stuff. I know how Hollywood works, and if she wins, it will help her career tremendously. It would be sort of impossible to see her just as little Winnie Cooper, wouldn’t it?
So if you want to help her out, head over to Stuff Magazine, and click on Which hottie from the 90

Wow. The fact that you know Danica McKellar (and she doesn’t hate you! 😉 ) just made you even cooler. 🙂
I had a huge crush on Winnie Cooper and it was awesome to see her show up on West Wing, even attached to a name like Elsie Snuffin. I definitely voted for her. Yay!

    Hi Wil,
Although I have emailed previously, I hadn’t registered to make comments on your blog til today.
I enjoy your blog very much and your wonderful style of writing and capturing an audience. I wish we lived close enough to see the live shows you are in. Good luck…wait I take that back..I don’t want to jinx anything…maybe it would be more appropriate to say ‘break a leg.’ 🙂
RE: Damica – A beauty and a geek in one – Excellent and of course I voted for her and I don’t even visit the website or the magazine normally, but it’s only right that a beautiful geek woman be on the front of any magazine. We need to see more of women that have great brains behind their beauty. I must say I wish they would have considered her for the cover on your looks and brains alone with out having to pose in lingerie but I know what you mean Wil.
What was really cool to me was not only her interest in promoting math which is so important, but that she is also starting to do some independent work as a director as well as all the other things she’s doing. Quite an impressive lady!

Jennie Garth: Oh god, no! That nose? I guess we can be grateful that it’s not Tori Spelling, but, um….no.
Elizabeth Berkley: Saved By The Bell? Are they serious?? No way. Although, she may be my husband’s pick *snort*.
Kari Wuhrer: Remote control….Kids with remotes = so not sexy.
Danica McKellar: Of course, she’s the obvious choice!! She MADE Fred Savage, I tell you! I do hope she wins. And I’ve never even heard of stuff magazine before now.

Danica – no question about it. Anyone who can whiz through higher math gets a lot of respect from me. Calculus was hard enough!
Interesting she mentioned the pics were already shot for Stuff. I bet we get to see all four ladies, with the winner getting more pages than the rest.
I wonder why Tiffany-Amber Thiessen wasn’t one of the picks? She was in two hit shows of the 90s.

I’ve had a soft spot for Danica since she appeared in “Her Pilgrim Soul”, Alan Brennert’s beautiful script for The Twilight Zone. Any word on when the announcement will be made?
