50,000 Monkeys at 50,000 Typewriters Can't Be Wrong

In 3-D!

  • WWdN in Exile

I can’t believe I forgot about this: I’m all over VH1’s I Love The 80s 3D. I wasn’t in much of 1980 or 1981, but I did about 9 hours of interviews with them, mostly focused on 1985-1989, if I recall correctly. Check local listings for maximum Uncle Willie Snark and your USRDA of funky giant post-Walter sideburns.

    Wil,
Just watched 1981. Was feeling bad about getting suckered in to yet another 80s show, but it was a pleasant surprise to see your mug for about 30 sec. in 1980. Thankfully you get much more screen time in ’81. Gotta say I love the sideburns. If Wesley had been rockin’ those back in the day he definitely would have gotten some Robin Lefler action. Just another geek… 🙂

    Wil-
Glad you got more air time this go around. To echo the others above — great sideburns!

    Wil-
The sideburns ruled. I could have sworn that you got slimed. As gross as that might have been, you made quite an attractive Wheaton booger. ^_^

My wife and I were shocked to see Uncle Willie when we sat down for some 80’s Love’n. It was right up there with finding $20 in the laundry. 😉
We’ve got all the episodes recording on the ReplayTV if anyone misses any of the Willie goodness. Maybe I’ll edit together a highlight reel once they all air. 🙂

If only I wasn’t freezing my ass off in Germany…the only computers at the university use Mozilla, and it’s kind of not working. Oh well.

Male whisker type hair is sexy. Grow lots anywhere you can.
My husband and I start watching the 80’s and I say, “Wil Wheaton is in this series.” and my husband looks at me and says, “I am so buying you Wil Wheaton pasties.” I didn’t comment on his little thing with Mo Rocca.
They don’t have pasties on CafePress.

So, i thought i was all that coming to your site today to tell you i saw you on my telly last night, about how i poked at my husband and said “hey we read his blog…” and i find (as always) that i am ten people slow! ah well, was great to see you in 1980 last night. we will be watching again this evening, and hoping that you continue to be way cooler than Mo Rocca (man that guy is retarded!). it really is nice to see someone we like on there!

    Hey Wil,
Funny comments on the show… Even though they didnt show too much of you… But, I liked the jokes you were making with the mask on and when you got slimed… haha… Can’t wait to see you on the rest of the week

I am in just in love with cheesy 80s crap. How cute does that make me?
Ok, my husband just read this as I was typing. He told me to sing the first 80s song that popped in my head. Here we go:
“The Power of Love is a curious thing
Make one man weep, make another man sing
Change a hawk into a little white dove
More than a feeling, that’s the power of love..”
Damn, that’s cheesy but somehow, still so good!
    *going to lie down now*

Am I the only one who can’t stand this whole nostalgia for a time that was, all things considered, really recent. Just seems a little too soon for a THIRD installment of I Love the 80s, doesn’t it?

    Will-
I have to say that it was seeing you on 3-D that reintroduced me to you (and those were some beast sideburns ^-^). After a bit of research I found out that, dude, this Will character is an actual intellegent and interesting human being. Finally VH-1 did something useful for me ^_^

Caught the VH1 80’s 3D last night! You were awesome! My husband told me to tell you he’s down with you on Voltron! It was on of his faves too. Must have been a guy thing! Can’t wait to see the rest of it, I’ll be tuned in!!!

My admiration of you went up many notches when I caught you extolling the virtues of the classic 1981 movie, History of the World, Part I. That is my all time favorite source of quotes, and I’m overjoyed that you share the love for Mel & Co.
And don’t ya want to know what the OTHER five commandments were??? 😀
