50,000 Monkeys at 50,000 Typewriters Can't Be Wrong

so my friend is in this contest . . .

  • WWdN in Exile

My friend Dawn is up for MySpace Girl of the Week on Attack of the Show. I can’t say anything about the other girls who are in the contest, but I know that Dawn is a real geek girl. I can guarantee you she’s the only nominee who knows the difference between a comic book and a graphic novel, and odds are she’s the only one who knows the correct answer to the question, "What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?"

So quit reading my non-cute-girl-having blog, and go vote for Dawn.

You may count me as voting for her in your exit poll. And yes, I’d like to subscribe to your newsletter.

The “grabbing my own boobs” pictures immediately had me turned off… until I checked out her nerd qualifications (quite impressive) and her challengers’ lack thereof. I was still hesitant, as I generally hate gratuitous Myspace B.S. (aka T’n’A), but then I took a closer look at her challengers, and all I had to see was that Rachel belonged to “Myspace Republicans.”
I voted for Dawn 10 times.

Well, even though she isn’t on my friends list, I voted for her, but only because you recommended her, Wil. It’s good to have friends in high places :-).
OT: Does anyone besides me want to shoot Punxsutawney Phil? Why does that fucker ALWAYS see his shadow? I think it’s a conspiracy!!!

Wow, she’s lucky … she’s even got a picture with you in her MySpace photos section.

After a long Exile, I returned home this weekend. Until the heat death of the universe or I stop blogging (whichever comes first), I'll be back at WWdN.

This is the second to last post I made at WWdN:in Exile. I’m copying it here for completion’s sake. In 2001, blogs were very new things. In fact, as much more time was […]

This weekend, after way, way too many years in exile, I’m finally returning home. Wow. Typing that made me feel all the feels. I wasn't expecting that.
