50,000 Monkeys at 50,000 Typewriters Can't Be Wrong

I will ship books in the shade!

  • Books

A quick note to the Wheaton 300: The final batch of hardbacks — mostly international orders, but a couple domestics that fell into the wrong box — have just been shipped.

I’m terribly sorry that it’s taken a month for these final books to be sent out, but it’s time consuming as hell to process them all (thanks, US Customs!) and as it turns out, I’m a ridiculously busy guy right now.

I’m excited for these books to find their way into the hands and homes of the few of you who still don’t have them. Thank you for your patience and support. I sincerely hope it’s worth the wait.

I received mine just before I got on a plane to Dallas two weeks ago. It was TOTALLY worth the wait…Ok, I already read the softcover, but still! It was awesome. I had a guy stop to look over my shoulder at the airport and commented – “Is that Wil’s book? I’ve been waiting for that.” I smiled and said that I was reading it cover to cover. He laughed, said, Enjoy! Then, mysteriously he was gone. It kind of wigged me out that he so quickly disappeared. But in that moment, we were bonded by our admiration for your writing. It was cool and I just had to tell you about it. Thanks for that moment in time, Wil! The book rocks ๐Ÿ™‚

i have to say i was beginning to worry slightly… the UK postal service is in a load of pooh at the moment… ive been waiting for a letter from spain since the start of last week – fair enough, but they were all sent on the same day, and my mum (who lives less than 5 miles away from me) got hers last friday…
so starting to get itchy feet – PLUS over christmas (which we aren’t celebrating this year, cause we invented our own holiday and shall instead be celebrating piratemas on the 22nd along with a bunch of other geeks who liked the idea) i have two days off, so really want to settle down with Teh Book, and read away!!!!!
if not then i will have to hope my amazon order arrives before then and settle for hellblazer novels or the final part of the sandman series as its the last to buy….
so you’ve made me one slightly relieved lassie at that news wil – thanks!

It’ll be more than worth the wait Wil. We all know, and appreciate, how much work you’ve put into these books.

I just read Blue Light Special, Wil, and it was wonderful and evoked some of my own K-Mart memories, of Icees, yes, but also of those little sub sandwiches with the shredded lettuce that sold for $1.
(I’m a little older than you, and the opposite gender, but I was enthralled with Light Bright, and all those neon pegs. The figures era kind of pre-dated me).
Anyway, just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your story. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Wil,
You can depend on any government agency being efficient when it’s to their advantage, and inefficient when it’s to your disadvantage.

(In sing song voice) I got mine yesterday!
But how did you do it Wil?
The stamps say 04 December 07, your customs dec. *underneath* (TWO WW sigs! OOOWWwoooooooowWWW!! says 12/6/07 . Have you got a secret DeLorian we don’t know about? ๐Ÿ˜‰
OH, and MOH is *totally* unimpressed with my Chrissie prezzie to myself, and even though I sprang for it anyway, he didn’t like the bra either. Sheeesh, just no pleasing some people.
Anyway, have devoured most of it in one sitting, and so pleased to be a part of keeping a roof over your family’s head. Can’t wait for the next one.
Seasons Greetings to You and Yours and all the WW community.
