we three geeks at child’s play are . . .
That’s me with Gabe and Tycho at the Child’s Play dinner. I’d say we clean up rather well.

Last night, I played some micro-limit (.10/.25) hold’em on PokerStars. Right after I donkeyed into a gutshot on the turn with JTo to suckout on this poor guy who made middle pair with KQ on a board of A-Q-9 I realized that I’d forgotten to set up today’s WWdN Invitational. While that guy filled the…
I got home at 4 this morning, didn’t fall asleep until 5, and then had to explain to my dogs that, no, just because I was in bed and the sun was coming up, I’m not interested in getting up to do stuff with them. … I’m keeping a production diary, which I can’t release until my episode airs in October, but I can safely say that working on this show, with this cast and crew, creating this character, has reawakened my slumbering love of acting. I’ll have more to say about that when I can really analyze how I feel about it and why. (short short version: I miss the camaraderie of being in a cast, and I’d forgotten how good it feels to discover interesting moments with the director, writers, and other actors.
I first heard Zoë Keating about a month ago. I wish I could remember the steps that lead to me discovering her music, but all I can remember is how floored I was when I listened to it, and how I couldn't buy her albums fast enough.Zoë plays the Cello, which is cool on its own,…
I know it’s cliché, but the stars were brilliant jewels against a field of black velvet. Betelgeuse was a brilliant red. Canis Major was such a bright blueish white I couldn’t look directly at it. To the North, Ursa Major dominated the sky, and I could even see Mizar without any effort.
Yesterday, I woke up feeling about 50% of normal. It’s the closest I’ve felt to normal since I went in for surgery, so it was a huge improvement. I got all the way up to about 70% by the late afternoon, but was back down to 50% by the time I went to bed. I…
SPOILER ALERT: This is the official 20-second promo for “The Creepy Candy Coating Corollary,” my episode of The Big Bang Theory, which airs Monday October 19 on CBS.

Indeed you do 🙂
just saw the rest of Kiko’s photos. It looks like the dinner was a blast-
You do look very handsome. I like that tie. 🙂 Glad you had a great time.
You look so handsome! Can we go back to Nobhill and you be my date again? And you wear that? 🙂
Well, I *was* going to ask if you happened to meet a bunch silly Canadians called ‘LoadingReadyRun’ while there…good thing I checked for their weekly video first! 😀
Great that you’re the voice of wisdom in the skit…and the ‘b-ending’? ^_^
Looks like you could almost do the Frost Report’s Class Sketch there…
Hey, man, sorry to comment completely off-topic, but I thought you might be interested in seeing this:

I’ve heard that some fans are thinking this is strike related…as in CBS / Paramount is retaliating against the fans’ support of the strike. I suppose this is a Captain Obvious moment, but ARE THE STUDIOS REALLY THAT STUPID?!
You are such a cutie!
Hi Wil. I am glad to see you smiling. From some of your other posts I’ve read, it has seemed like you might have an anger issue. So smile = happy = good. Merry Christmas!
I heard the same rumor about Startrek.com. I doubt it has anything to do with fans, and everything to do with studios looking to cut costs wherever they can, citing Force Majeure.
Paramount/CBS (and all the moguls, actually) may be thinking that they can blame unpopular moves they wanted to make all along on the WGA.
I don’t smile a lot in pictures because I have really fucked up teeth, not because I have “anger issues.”

That’s a good point, but the internet is such a powerful PR medium that I can’t see them wanting to dispose of that team and possibly the site with the new movie in production. Things are always happening in the Trek fandom…
I really hope you’re right and that it’s not retaliation.
You guys rock the suits..
but somehow I think you would be just as happy in Jeans and t-shirts
By the way, I like your teeth. They’re distinctive. ‘Perfect’ teeth frighten me.
damn, you look hot in that suit.
=D
I think you look great — and your teeth are just fine! What I think is “fucked up” are the expectations of what teeth should look like.
Wow, you look really great Wil! It took about 5 seconds for me to realize it was you. Seriously, and I say this with a staunch record of heterosexuality, you look very ummm…. Dapper! **gratuitous Happy Days reference** Outstanding tie dude.
Mike’s bulked up a little since I saw him last.
Thats what they look like?
Im a regular reader of WWdN, and he posted a photo recently of himself from a charity dinner, posing with two noted web cartoonists – Tycho and Gabe, otherwise known as Jerry and Mike from the comic Penny Arcade.
Heres a link to the pho…
The Christmas Tree looks like it’s about ready to give the three of you a hug…or eat your brains.
Great picture, Wil. You look really happy to be a part of the Child’s Play dinner.
Wil, the photo looks fantastic.
Question – I can’t seem to get the story on /. (I’m not a subscriber), so I don’t know if you’ve commented there or not, but what are your thoughts on the layoff of the entire startrek.com team by CBS?
Some damn, fine looking men there. Looks like things went well at the dinner.
Hey! Nobody said it was Dinner with Evil Mirror Universe Wil! That’d be a total blast!
There is nothing wrong with your teeth as far as I can see and I’m betting most of the population aren’t your dentist and don’t care if your teeth aren’t textbook perfect. I think that your already good looks are enhanced by your smile.
“Rather well” is quite the understatement. This is one of the finest non-family photos I’ve seen of you — and your companions come off looking nice, too.
Don’t fret the teeth too much, as you can spoil some otherwise picturesque moments. My husband comes off looking far less thrilled than his wife in our wedding photos, largely for the same reason. While he’s since gotten dental work he’s glad to have had (his are artificial due to childhood poverty), I’d just as soon have had him smiling in the wedding shots, tiny front teeth and all. Thank heaven I have some joyous snapshots since to clarify his position on marriage. 🙂
Re: the twitter “I just assembled an Xmas compilation that is so awesome, it spans TWO full CDs” …
One of my favorite party games was introduced to me by a friend who would bring a homemade “Name That Tune”-style Christmas CD with barely recognizable snippets of obscure recordings of holiday music. The game was to see who could name the largest portion of the songs and (much harder) the singers. I usually won, but it was the challenge that I savored, and even the years that I lost were a blast.
I love that both Gabe and Tycho are wearing black ties and you’re the salmon wearing a blue one. (Which is gorgeous on you by the way.)
Anger issues..hah. Aren’t these “That Happiest Days of Our Lives” after all?? Merry Christmas sweetpea.
Wil,
I can see you as the conniving, deceitful, treacherous assistant to the Big Bad, ever on the lookout for the main chance and any opportunity to feather your nest.
Then again, I once ‘cast’ you as a ferengi captain in a re-invention of Star Trek. Your first scene involved chatting with your first officer while dining on one of your new born daughters. Not nice people these re-invented ferengi. 🙂
Dude, you scored dinner with that “I’m a PC” guy (on your right). Props to you!
I love your smile, but… no beard, please *g*
And quite a handsome trio of geeks you are. 🙂
Just two more people of the appropriate height, and you could have made a Cingular commercial where you were the “bars.”
How. Very. Cool. The world better recognize! Geeks are here to stay. We came, we saw, we conquered, then we came again.
Wil,
You guys look great! I love your tie. I totally understand about the smile thing. I had bad teeth for the last five years, due to some major health issues. I finally started reconstruction recently and I’m having to relearn to smile in photos. You should not worry about it. You have a beautiful smile and its so nice to see your face shining with happiness. I’m glad you all had fun and raised mega bucks for a great charity.
Three VERY handsome men! Geeks don’t look like Revenge of the Nerds anymore!! 😉
Hope you enjoyed your stay here in Seattle!
Wow. Pretty AND geeky! Given that I know the one in the middle is taken, I have little hope that the other two are single. 😉
um…. damn Wil ! I mean ok you are adorable and I even thought so in the Starfleet Uniform but holy frack…
