got hope?

Barack Obama Campaign Poster Illustration

I met Daniel M. Davis, owner of Steam Crow Press, when I was at the Phoenix Comicon. He’s an intensely creative guy, and as it turns out, a Barack Obama supporter, just like me. Daniel and I are working on something wonderful together, and during our conversation this morning, I asked him if I could share this poster he made with WWdN readers. We did the secret Obamamaniac handshake, and he said it would be cool.

You can click the image to go to the Steam Crow website, where there’s an embiggened version of the poster, as well as a ton of awesome illustrations, including some weird and wonderful monsters and other creatures who will follow you home.

I’m an Obama supporter, too, but…
he kind of looks like Mr. Buttersworth.

Yes, unfortunately this graphic gives him a weird Uncle Tom aura. He is angled to please.

Being an avid Obamaphile, I’m digging the groovy nature of this illustation. Does it come as a wallpaper?

“And from his golden head emits a light so bright.” Very cool artistic render of Obama. Unfortunately my “Hope” is for all sorts of things that do not include Obama at this time.

I support Obama. I stood up for him at the democratic caucas.
This looks a bit too “savior-ish” for me.
    Makes me feel icky.

Ah yes, the audacity of asking Democratic voters for money while saying that they shouldn’t have a say in who gets nominated as the presidential candidate because of a squabble between the FL legislature, the DNC, and the FDP.
As a Florida Democrat, I do hope for one thing. I hope that people understand why I’ll be leaving the presidential ballot blank.

Howdy. I certainly respect your decision to support Obama, but I do hope you’re not doing it because it’s the in thing to do. It seems to me that’s why so many like him. Because it’s hip. It seems he just spouts out the words “change,” “hope,” and “the future” and people will follow him. “Oh… I like change and hope and the future. I’ll vote for Obama.” Disgusting.
Sorry, but the more I hear about Obama, the less I really know about him, and the more he scares me. I still think he’d be a better choice than Hillary, so I still hope he gets the Democratic nomination (even though Hillary would probably be easier to beat), but still.
Not that the Republican party’s candidate makes me happy, either. My guy didn’t get in. 🙁 I hope your guy fares better.

I’m not sure I get the bitterness from Florida democrats – The rules were clear, your republican governor new exactly what he was doing when he signed the bill to move up your primary. Direct your anger at him not the democrats.

Wot?!?!? I wanna know that seeekrit handshake!!!
[Actually donating to his campaign; not sure whether your reference to a handshake is just a wink/nod but if there is such a thing I’d love to learn it!]
