Holy crap cool. Larry Blamire’s movie Lost Skeleton of Cadavra is comedy gold, and a must-see for any fan of Ed Wood or MST3k.

Cutlasses are curved with a wider blade near the tip. They’re using sabers.

Nothing wrong with Steampunk at all. Check out the wikipedia listing for various goodies that are either inspired or derived from Steampunk.
    Definitely check out Girl Genius.

Well since you’re now out as a stempunk fan you may enjoy playing this game. It’s a steampunk themed Firefox plugin – PMOG. Wired Mag has an article at http://tinyurl.com/39o2yx and you can get the code at http://pmog.com/

The more I read your Twitters, the more I find myself nodding along. Except for the Croc thing. You’ll tear my Crocs out of my cold dead hands. But man, you are a breath of fresh air. I live in Podunk, Texas — finding out our views align makes me very, very happy. And steampunk! I’m having a geekgasm over here.
And yes, the stupid does burn. Oh, my God does it burn.
