Emerald City ComiCon, here I come!

I am so excited to announce that I’ll be going to Seattle next month for the Emerald City ComiCon!

This is an awesome show, with a focus fucos on indie books and publishers. I think I’ll feel right at home, if I can keep myself from totally geeking out too much. (Yeah, who am I kidding?)

The schedule hasn’t been finalized, but I’ll be doing a performance from Happiest Days and maybe Just a Geek on Saturday, and I’ll be doing a more general Q&A about blogging, writing manga, being a geek, the burdens of being awesome, and writing humorous panel descriptions on Sunday.

I will have a booth to hang out in when I’m not empaneled, so I’m bringing copies of all my books, pictures to sign, and my glasses and my shoes, so I have them.

As long as I have your temporary attention: I’m working on adding a convention in June to the 2008 Geektour. We’re like 99% of the way there, so I’ll blather on about it as soon as the last 1% is worked out.

  1. I can’t wait! I finally get to buy my copy of Happiest Days! I was having PayPal troubles of my own when the hard copies mailed out so I totally missed the boat on that one… (So sad!) I guess this means I have to go both days after all!!!

  12. PPS–That’s a great new photo on Eventful. I’m one of your demanders for San Antonio. If you go to Austin instead, I’ll recruit a car full of Chimaeracon /other fans for the 75-mile road trip.

  13. Yay Your coming to my hometown. Well closeish anyway. If I can’t see you at the Grand Slam At least I can see you at my local con. I’ll be by to give you some shiney gold rocks for your new book.

  14. I saw you speak in Phoenix in January, and I can’t help but think that you could start doing shows outside of cons -like Henry Rollins’ spoken word shows. I don’t know how you’d manage to get an agent to book the shows, you might have to create a few demo tapes, but I think it’s worth looking into.

  21. Wish I could go! It’s a long trip from Minnesota to Seattle, and I’m already flying out to Boston in July for Jumpcon. No chance you’ll be there too, is there?

    Seriously, you know you want to judge the Miss Klingon Kontest. I can see you on a number of panels from the comic books, podcasts, writing trek and of course, the Trek Track, you know you’ll have a blast.
