Blue Light Mashup, Part Three

  • Books

Oh kids … oh, kids. Our good friend amity1976 spared no expense to bring us all Part Three of Blue Light Mashup.
Now, watch in amazement as I use this post as an excuse to plug the audio version of The Happiest Days of Our Lives, which includes the story Blue Light Special. It’s just $19.72! Cheap!

See what I did there? Yeeeaaahhhh.

Blue Light Special is my favorite story of yours, and these guys did a great job on the video. Great job, everyone!

I gotta say, that is one of my favorite stories. It was hysterical to read, it’s 10 times funnier to hear Wil read it, and with the visual queues it’s an official classic. Just awesome.

Last time I saw my copy of Happiest Days of Our Lives, Superman had it.
These videos are awesome, though. Nice work, amity1976.

I love it! Awesome! So much better than reading it is hearing it… Audiobook–like all other Wil awesomeness… here I come. Wait… I need to put my wwdn shirt on first…
    Happy New Year Wil!!

Not that I’ve listened to a ton of authors read their own work, but that was by far the best I’ve ever heard. Very excellent job, I must say.
    Also, cool video work, amity1976.

Wil, amity1976 has done great visual work with star wars to follow your story. On a different note I have just picked up both digital audio versions of Just A Geek and The Happiest days of our lives. One word sums it all up, Awesome. I actually stayed up a full night listening to your books. I was born in the late 70’s and hearing about star wars toys, D&D and the dreaded gym class dodge ball games brought many memories back to me that have been lost with all the bullshit adult life brings us. Yes I was a geek just like you and I happily still am.
I find it some what funny that you like your character in Stand by me has become a writer. I hope someday to be able to write a tenth of a percent as well as you do, unfortutely grammar and proper sentence structure and spelling are not one of my strong points. Its sad to think all those english college courses have taught me nothing.

William Parr, your grammar, sentence structure, and spelling are far superior to what I see so often, you nearly make me weep with some emotion I cannot put a name to.
    Please, reconsider writing.

Thank you for taking me down memory lane.
Oh–I got the Death Star playset for Christmas one year. Best thing ever!

One of my favorite stories of yours because I can relate to it so well. I love hearing about your Star Wars memories. None of my friends were as fanatic about the SW universe as I was back then, so it’s nice to hear these kind of stories from someone who understands. Not only was I the biggest SW fan I knew, but I was the only female SW fan I knew. Double the lonely.
The videos are excellent. Love the shots of the old toys. I have the carrying case shown in this shot from the video. Yes, I said have, not had. What of it? I’m letting my son (8 years old) borrow it and all my action figures and other SW toys these days. So much fun to share it with him. Thank God he groks SW. It would have sucked to have disowned him.
Oh, and AceTachyon? I am totally jealous about the Death Star playset. That and the Millenium Falcon were two things I wanted so badly but never got.
