Two awesome things have already happened today:
1. I woke up at 8:05, and it felt like I'd really slept in.
2. My friend Rich put me in today's Diesel Sweeties:

The theme I use in Typepad doesn't support dynamic resizing, so I had to shrink the image down. You can click on it, though, to see it full size at the Diesel Sweeties website.
wow. that’s some serious dedication. all hail the secretary.
The eyebrows!! The eyebrows make the funny.
That’s awesome. 😉 The smaller version makes so much more sense now that the right 3 panels aren’t cropped.
On the dynamic resizing — yeah, I noticed that a while ago with the large HDooL audiobook banner when you posted it in the old theme… it looked, er, interestingly jaggy. Speaking of the audiobook, I uploaded the flyers to my site for the folks interested in pimping it, and they can be found there. (Hrm, I should probably also go put that link as a comment on the original post, too.) [Edit: except that comments there are now closed. Bugger.]
I would have the same reaction if I ever bumped into you. Hopefully, you realize that this is less a comment on my crazy/slutty than on the power of the Wil.
I just like that you’re wearing The Sweater. The Sweater is awesome and all-knowing. The only thing better than this would be a velvet portrait of you, wearing The Sweater.
Not that I’m trying to give anyone any ideas, or anything.
hooray! That’s a check in a great big checkbox I bet you’d never even considered having!
I like how he seems to be spending most of his time talking to and/or contemplating your crotch. Maybe he’s trying to determine the future of your space babies.
Comic comes over full-size in the RSS feed BTW.
Theme’s? We don’t need no steekeeng THEMES!
–chuck (who just uses the default WP theme on my blog because I assume nobody looks at html unless they have to.)
eyebrows FTW.
I have had two of my friends react by squealing & babbling when they met you. One had the excuse of being around 12 years old at the time . Her reaction was “oh my gosh I have *such* a crush on you!!”. You looked mildly horrified but that was probably the 10 year age difference.
The other one is married but told me she lost all sane questions when she was you at PAX. I think it’s you being awesome, not the crazy of your fans.
Hee! The only time he looks you in the eyes, is when you speak to him! I think it’s sweater-lust.
The eyebrows are wonderful!
“EEEEEEEEE I’m a huge fan!” squeed the fanboy…
Truly, thou art awesomely enshrined in 8-bit and rightfully so.
I’m surprised, delighted and somewhat disturbed by how accurately you’re depicted in the Cindy Brady square.
This comic spurred a couple of observations/opinions:
1) Awesome of your friend to include you in his comic
2) If that is even a shade close to how the average person greets you in real life…kudos. I would be on the six o’clock news in handcuffs after a greeting like that.
3) Agree with everyone on the sentiments regarding the eyebrows. And it’s amazing how the attention to the eyebrows makes the characters in this comic show more emotion than Anakin Skywalker in Episode 1, 2 & 3.
It’s kind of scary how close this comic resembles the time I met Wil after his Dancing Barefoot reading in Hollywood. Except that I ran to get a pen instead of a knife.
Having been mildly distracted by a TV show totally not getting twitter, I can get back to what I was going to say.
I haven’t had the honour of meeting Wil or A.N.Other famous person, but there are two sources I shall refer to in the event of such a joyous occasion.
1) John Scalzi “Meeting Authors and me” – http://wilwheaton.typepad.com/wwdnbackup/2008/04/what-scalzi-sai.html (I won’t link directly, it was Wil who pointed it out in the first place, and I’d feel like I was taking credit if I did)
2) Wil Shipley meeting Ben Affleck at TED, as twittered:

Actually, I could just get a t-shirt done. Front: “I like your work, [PERSON I ADMIRE]”, Back: “Nice to have met you”.
