50,000 Monkeys at 50,000 Typewriters Can't Be Wrong

one of the coolest d20s i’ve ever seen

  • WWdN in Exile

originaly uploaded by flickr user emoeby

I just saw this at Geekdad, and the power of geek compelled me to share it, because d20s just make me so goddamn happy.

It was originally uploaded to flickr to emoeby … and you really want to go look at his photostream. Trust me.

The trick is in the rolling, of course 🙂
That sled rally looks like a lot of fun, not only to watch but to participate in.

Gods, no! If smaller objects start sticking to it, the next thing you know it’ll start rulling up animals, furniture, people, cars, trees, houses, national monuments, whirlpools, clouds, and islands!

The available information is too vague, so if you don’t mind, Wil, I’m going to go fishing here:
If you are the creator of this twenty-sided sled (or icosasledron), please drop me a line at will [at] gameplaywright [dot] net. I want to write about this.

Think the picture is cool, you should watch the video of it rolling down the hill.

OMG!! That was totally awesome! My 8 year old wants to build a sled now. Too bad we don’t live in MN.

    Yeahhhh…rollin’ wit my 2-0.
One precious thing I’ve taken away from this blog and Wil’s writings is the ability to finally fully embrace the inner geek inside. For years I’ve fought to face the geekdaemon that froths and foams within, just below the surface. Now, I unleash it at every opportunity. Seeing a photo like this makes the geekspawn inside howl the eternal “YAWP!” of triumph (which roughly translates to “Roll to see if it’s a critical!”)
    I’m Lanky Nibs…and I’m a dice chucker.

So, being a sled, would that make it a 20-slider?
Ok, I’m taking my bad pun and going back to my room now…
