another chance to watch my episode of Criminal Minds

  • WWdN in Exile

I just found out that my episode of Criminal Minds, Paradise, is going to be rerun this Wednesday, March 4 at 9pm Eastern and Pacific on CBS.

I am tremendously proud of the work I did on this show, and I hope that, if you missed it the first time around, or you wanted to watch it again after reading my production diaries from Sunken Treasure, you'll tune in and watch me get my creepy-guy-you-really-don't-want-to-be-alone-with on.

(Thanks go to Scott T who told me about this via Twitter.)

William Mapother usually creeps me out (I mean, c’mon, it’s ETHAN!!!) but this time you get the “creepiest” honors =)

I watched that episode last week or so (had it recorded by chance), it was really good. I tweeted about it but I’m sure it got drowned out 🙂 I had no idea that you were in the episode until I saw you and then I was like ZOMG!

Just finished reading Sunken Treasure, I think the Criminal Minds diary was probably the best bit for me. I went to google images and got a pic of Floyd Hansen up because I found it hard to imagine you being that evil 😉 But seems like you did a good job.
Alas it seems we don’t get Criminal Minds here yet (well, there’s series 1 showing on pay-to-view channel – what series was this from again? *stop being so lazy – series 4* – ah yes) but hopefully i’ll get to watch it one day.
In fact looking at it series 1-3 are on DVD here so 4 can’t be far behind. Is it worth picking up? I really didn’t even know about it until your diary!

Thanks for the heads-up. It’s always inspiring to see an artist jazzed by his work. We’re big fans of Criminal Minds here precisely because it’s well beyond the average. It’ll be good to e-see you on the small screen this week!

Oh, good. Thanks for that info. I missed it the first time around and couldn’t find it on the ‘nets.

I missed it last time, too. I’ll make sure to have the cable box set to watch it in Hi-Def! 🙂

Uh, Wil… I hate to be a bother. But that link to the guy who told you about this doesn’t work. Twitter tells me that he doesn’t exist. What up?
Anyway… it took a while to get it posted, but fancast ran that seasons episodes on about a 6 week delay. Torture!
Anyway… stay asleep for a while. The flikr thing was funny but you have a family to feed and shelter. Writing deadlines a gazillion: slaves to the muse so far in the hole the rabbit couldn’t find us.

I never pointed out that after watching that episode of Criminal Minds when it first ran, I was perusing Hulu and came across your episode of The Invisible Man. It was like night and day between the two parts. Well done!

I love Criminal Minds, and I saw this episode when it first aired.
Dude, you creeped me out. Totally.
    Nice job!

Thanks for the reminder. I missed it the first time around and with DirecTVs feature to schedule my Tivo over the internet, I don’t have to worry about forgetting again. Gotta love technology.

oo OO I’m getting through Sunken Treasure one chapter at a time, not because I don’t love it, but because just sitting and reading I don’t have time for (Audiobook? please please? I can listen to those while I work on my knitting, just sayin’.).
Anyway, I read the Chapter on Criminal Minds just this morning! I do however have to wait to get home before I can program my DVR. I can’t believe how old fashioned I’ve gotten 🙂

cool. I did not get to catch that last time. Will set my dvr to record it this time. 🙂
So is creepy guy you don’t want to be alone with your new nitch?

Sweet! Thanks for the heads up. Just set the reminder on the TV. Yay me! Oh, uh … I mean, yay you, of course.

  23. spiderpig says:
    3 March, 2009 at 10:28 am

    @Russell – Boo to Idol! I don’t watch that. 😉
Apparently that’s the only show I don’t watch. Life is a rerun, so I guess I can record Criminal Minds after all. Sorry Tim Roth, guess I’ll have to catch Lie to Me when/if it reruns.

I’ve been playing bad guys and unsavory characters quite a bit recently, so … maybe that is my new thing.
It’s actually kind of awesome, though, because those characters are always the most fun to play.

Oh groovy. I’ll be DVRing that one. Your production diary in ST is the entire reason I’ll be watching the show, for the first time ever.

Oh My Freakin God!!! That was you in that episode? I didn’t even catch that the first time around. That was one of the best ones I think. I’m gonna have to watch it again Wednesday night. Thanks for the heads up.

I did not know (being new-ish to your blog) that was your work. It creeped me out very nicely, also showed a wonderfully disfunctional couple collapsing.

I was so creeped out after watching this episode the other night, that I couldn’t sleep. I’m with DeLynn in the fact that I really didn’t think anyone could be creepier than ‘Ethan’, but you broke that mold with this character (I actually felt bad for William’s character). Then today out of the blue my dad (who’s 77 by the way) starts telling me about this ‘creepy hotel manager guy’ on a show he watched the other night. You creeped him out as much as Norman did almost 50 years ago. Bravo!!

I finally watched this online. Scary.

I’ve actually seen or heard that in interviews with other actors. They have a lot of fun playing villains because it gives them the ability to broaden their acting horizons by either playing against a stereotype in which they’ve been cast, or by playing a role opposite their normal personality. I’ve really liked seeing good guys play bad guys (and conversely, it’s been a little odd seeing actors I’ve normally seen play bad guys in a good guy role). Sadly, I’ve missed your Criminal Minds episode twice now, and I’m hoping it’ll be on again in the future.
