Well it's been a wonderfully busy week, and now it's over. I finished Big Bang Theory on Tuesday, spent much of Wednesday wishing I was still working with them, and then recorded the voice of Mr. Qubit for the IRREDEEMABLE motion comic yesterday.
Since I'm too busy to write up the stuff that needs writing up, and I really don't like those blog posts that are about not posting to your blog, I thought I'd share this incredible picture that Warren Ellis showed me:
Have a great weekend, everyone. Memories of the Future comes out next week. (I guess I probably should have lead with that, huh?)
Amazing photo my mind is all over the walls in my office. I would love to have a print of that framed and hanging in my home.
Coolest pic ever indeed. Patiently waiting for next week …
Next week? Awesome!
Way to bury the lead.
You totally made my Friday! Squee!
Vulcans prefer Buicks, as the last Vulcan Emperor (before the Coombs took over after the Great Upheaval) was known to have loved the brand.
It is only natural that Spock would gravitate to the Riviera due to it’s graceful nacelles.

So what is Spock doing in the Left 4 Dead No map by the power substation?
I second the desire to have this as a framed print!
I’d also love to know the story behind it. When was it taken? I assume that was Nimoy’s car; did he buy it once he got signed to Star Trek, or was it his from before?
…and I pull and epic comedy fail by mis-typing “its” (facepalm)

That is the perfect pic to brighten my otherwise rained out Friday.
I think I need an autographed version of this picture.
I’ve never had a celebrity sign anything for me. But if I was to have Nimoy sign something, it would *have* to be this, now that I’ve seen it.
Wil, do you have any details about this photo? Who took it? Is that Leonard Nimoy’s Buick? Were they killing time inbetween scenes?
I only have a few autographs, all from going to DragonCon. My favorite is from George Takei – if you get a chance to meet him in person, do it. He is the nicest celebrity I’ve ever met. The douchiest celebrity I’ve ever met was also from a Star Trek series, but I won’t name names.
Yup Will that is the coolest pic I’ve seen today. Congrats on the upcoming book release, I’m looking forward to receiving my copy 🙂

The most awsome Nimoy pic ever! Squee! I can’t wait for MOTF next week.
Agree with Bolder63 – I would have this pic on my wall. Awesome.
Wil, it’s only 9:40 in the morning but I can already say with assurance: You are right. I couldn’t possibly see a better photo today. Awesome.
Hey, you shouldn’t talk that way about Whil Wheaton. Whil Wheaton seems like a nice guy.
Wil, et al.,
That may be the COOLEST picture ever, but I have to share with you the BEST picture ever. I hope you don’t mind.

I’m sure he would be, if he would ever get his butt out to the East Coast so I could meet him.
No, this was someone from a later series, and he was very cold to me, which was really disappointing because I used to have a really big crush on him when his show was still on the air. Everyone I met at DragonCon 2008 was nice except for him.
Wow, stunning photo. Seriously, that’s amazing. Thanks for sharing.
O_O
ima gonna frame it and put it on my wall!!
I’m going to be honest with you, Wil.
I have to disagree.
This picture is cooler: http://img185.imageshack.us/img185/7784/cooler.png
This picture is actually featured in Adam Nimoy’s biography, “My Incredibly Wonderful, Miserable Life: An Anti-Memoir”. It’s a fascinating read and filled with all kinds of amazing black and white photos like this. Good stuff.

‘should have led with that’ unless you plan to have heavy metal with your nice chianti and fava beans . . .
and sublime pic, by the way . . .
I love this photo so I did a little digging and found this other version that is a little higher res and isn’t cropped.

That car was made for him! Almost looks as if you could get in it and fly away! Awesome pic Wil!! Congrats on the completion of TBBT…can’t wait for the episode to air!!!! Have a great weekend:)
That is pretty cool, and worthy of a signature.
However, I think this one is better.

It’s him with T’Ping (that cheatin’ ho).
What a dichotomy. Spock with a car from far before his time, ha ha. Black and White is perfect for this picture, I absolutely love it.
I love it! Would love to have that on a tee shirt.
Awesome.
I can’t help, though, but be reminded of this one:

Happy Spocktober! I think I may have just had a nerdgasm. Can’t wait for Memories of the Future.
You have no idea the geekasm I had looking at that picture. I have serious issues when it comes to the Hoff.
Having this picture on your desk top gives you +10 to cool and allows you to spend a healing surge…
Omgosh I’m going to have one of my employees frame this. I’ll hang it next to my framed photo of the hoff – http://www.miserableretailslave.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/gary-coleman-and-david-hasselhoff.jpg
Great pìc! A usual you bring us the coolest stuff. Keep the dream on, man. You rock!
I don’t know anything about it, other than it is AWESOME.
AHAHAHAHAHA. Win!
SPOCKTOBER! HA!
Jesus, this post is turning into a vortex of comment WIN.
Can’t decide what’s cooler – the pic or the fact that Memories of the Future is *finally* coming out!
Unfortunately in the new continuity, that pic of Spock doesn’t actually exist. 🙁
Actually, that’s completely wrong.
According to the new continuity, the entire Star Trek universe we all know and love exists, unaltered, from the first episode of TOS to the last episode of Enterprise.
Spock Prime made it pretty clear to New Spock near the end that the timeline they are now in split off from the existing timeline, leaving the existing timeline intact, but giving them the opportunity to explore strange new worlds, etc.
Oh my god I am such I geek. I can’t believe I know this off the top of my head.
Wait. Yes I can. I can and it’s awesome.
No, that is the coolest photo I’ll see all month! Spock has always been my favorite of all of the Trek characters from the time I was a six year old kid watching the original series in first run. Thanks kindly for sharing that, you made an old geek’s day! 🙂
LOL Yes of course.. I was being a bit facetious.. 🙂 but if you really want be chronologically correct.. it would be “from the first episode of Enterprise through to Nemesis” (but that’s being super duper picayune!!) 🙂
I wonder if this was the car he was driving in the Bangles video.
This…is…AWESOME!
speaking of photography and Nimoy:

That’s funny.
Now we need to get that same shot with Zachary Quinto.
