50,000 Monkeys at 50,000 Typewriters Can't Be Wrong

i’m mister laughypants

  • WWdN in Exile

Sinus-related happy funtimes* have temporarily halted my plans to finish my PAX after action report. I hope to get to it by the weekend, but until I do, please enjoy this silly video my friend Greg shot, which I'm kind of in:

Also, this picture taken by Heath while we played D&D. It captures everything I love about playing D&D with my friends:

Acquisitions Inc Panel 19

(Click the image to embiggen at Flickr, and maybe say something nice to Heath for taking this picture, and sharing it with the rest of the class.)

I'll be back when I feel better. Be good.

*neither happy, nor fun

I found this earlier after watching the water video. Who is this Yeshmin guy? He’s brilliant.

The video is fun and amusing, but that picture takes the cake. It is a thing of beauty. Thanks for sharing it with us.
    Feel better soon. ๐Ÿ™‚

He's a character my friend Greg created. Isn't he funny?

I agree with Karohemd. Yeshmin is hilarious, I’m going to have to find more of him.
I’m sorry you ended up with the PAX illness. Hope you feel better soon.

Indeed. Being so deadpan while being so weird/funny is an art form, although he does crack up a couple of times in the outtakes. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Oh, and I hope you get over that sinus infection soon. I know how it feels and can sympathise.

Back when I used to guest at cons as a voice actress, we called it “the con plague”. I often hid in my hotel room during cold and flu season. I only succumbed to it once. Spent the whole con passed out on the hotel room floor in a Nyquil-induced coma.
And the joy in that photo is just infectious —
    …no pun intended.

Yes. So much so that it completely obliterated my terrible Friday evening. Thank you, Wil: Murderer of Moods Most Foul.

Frakkin’ hilarious! So glad I actually decided to watch the vid instead of just moving on. I mean… not that your video wouldn’t have been worth watching… I’m just sayin’ it’s been a long day and all and my attention span’s kinda short at this point. Am I rambling? ๐Ÿ˜‰
Hope you get to feeling better soon. The ick is never fun to have.

I subscribed to Mediocre Films a few months ago, after finding Yeshmin and deciding he was just about the Best Person Ever. I had no idea you knew him! Isn’t it great when awesome people work together to achieve… er… things? Comedic things?
How did he get you to talk, anyway? “Come and do this interview, or I’ll kill myself!”?

That was hilarious Mr. Laughypants. Hope you feel better soon. My mom swears by neti pots for sinus infections. You may want to pick one up at Walgreen’s and give it a try. BTW, I’m the “not a crazy stalker chick” from reddit that’s making the shirts. They’re looking really good.

Wil! Take oregano oil capsules for your sinus infection!! They are more effective and safer than antibiotics, you’ll feel better in no time. Also, I do love your cape.

Having been friends with Greg since high school (and rediscovered him through the Internet), I find it hilarious that (a) he gets to meet, have fun with, and impress so many cool people and (b) when he does, some viewers inevitably don’t realize he’s friends with them! The number of people posting on that video who seemed to think initially that either you or Jonathan were annoyed by him or wondering who he was … it happens every time any of you are in his videos, and I always shake my head and smile.
To people who liked Greg and want to see more (BTW, he directed the first season of “The Guild,” which is produced by his wife and which is rumored to have played host to some famous guy in a kilt recently):
    – Check his Mediocre Films channel on YouTube. I particularly recommend: “The Date,” “Free Lunch,” “Swapping Heads,” “Mating Season,” and “Gorgeous Tiny Chicken Machine Show,” which moved to Sony’s CSpot channel after that company signed them. Look in particular for an episode called “Garden Party,” featuring a turn by everyone’s favorite non-dick, as a (somewhat dickish) talent agent named Moishe Schwartz. I also must put in a plug for Greg’s video “Surprise High School Reunions,” since I’m in it for approximately 0.5 seconds via a yearbook photo for a Drama Club event – time stamp 0:02; I’m the one with the massive glasses, long layered hair, and super-dark Raven Red lipstick that got comments in my own yearbook.
    – Also try his MediocreFilms2 channel, where he sometimes experiments with putting up a new video per day or per week. Some are humor, while others are philosophical, and at least one (“How DARE You!?!!”) gets philosophical about humor.
    – Look at his “Buttload of commercials” reel at http://www.greg-benson.com/gbvideo.html and see how many times you’ve seen him without knowing it.
    – Enjoy Yeshmin’s own YouTube channel, including the commercial that started it all, for the Taleshmech Restaurant.
    – You can even see Greg, Kim, and their good friend Buddy in a 2007 episode of “The Dog Whisperer,” which was used later for a look back at some of Cesar’s toughest cases. (My husband, a major DW fan, called my attention to this one.)
I’m just tickled I get to say “I knew him when.”

    That’s exactly what I thought!
    *dumba-dum dum dumba-dum*
    *MR LAUGHY PANTS!*
Chances are your laughs are not as jolly as the guy
Who can keep up with the yuks until he’s just about to cry
When everybody’s standing ’round and joking with their friends
    He’s gonna pass the test
    He’s gonna be the best
The best in terms of laughs
(Song currently in my head copyrighted by Jonathan Coulton, original lyrics parodied from his also)
