I really enjoyed Memories of the Future Volume One, is there going to be a Volume Two?

this gift guide seems suspiciously like a simple list of the entire content of the official Wil Wheaton Store…

They don’t seem to ship to overseas Armed Forces addresses (like FPO’s or APO’s). Bummer.

I want Wil Wheaton to come to my house and serve me dinner. If that’s not a possible Christmas gift, how about a charity auction, Wil?

  10. Valerie L. says:
    8 December, 2010 at 3:57 pm

Oooh, I would ALSO like Wil Wheaton to come to my house and serve me dinner for charity. Or, if its like our usual dinners, have Wil Wheaton come to my house and have this conversation with me and my husband:
“What do you want to have for dinner?”
“I don’t know, what do you want to have for dinner?”
“I don’t know- I’m up for anything really.”
    “We could have leftovers.”
    “No, let’s go out.”
    “Okay, how about Chinese food?”
“No, I don’t feel like Chinese.”
    “…”
    “Well, what DO you want?”
    “I don’t know. Anything else.”
    *Wil Wheaton leaves*

Having just watched the rather excellent Eureka holiday special I wondered what Dr. Parrish would make of christmas. Part of me thinks he’s a really jaded cynic but another part thinks he’s actually really soppy inside.
What do you think (without giving anything away that might be construed as spoilers for Season 4.5)?

I totally need to get that How We Roll shirt for my husband! Thanks for the link.
Do you still use your wil @ WWDN email? My convention is trying to contact you to invite you as a guest and we’re still new to inviting guests so we wanted to make sure we’re at least contacting you in a way you prefer.
    Thanks!

Hey Wil! I’m the guy whose wheelchair you signed at PAX East. (I also made the “His Name Was Aeofel” wristbands for the same event.)
I thought you might get a kick out of seeing the latest and greatest development in my story. After having to have both legs amputated since PAX East, and being in a wheelchair for about three years now…I stood (and even walked a bit) on my brand new legs yesterday! (I’m now officially a cyborg!)
Here are some pictures from the day:
    http://picasaweb.google.com/facelesscog/WalkingDay#
I’m still hoping to have you and the other celebs that signed my wheelchair sign the new legs at next year’s PAX East, so I’ll have to start figuring out where the autographs will go, as space is a little more limited. 🙂
Hope you have a great holiday season!

I love the “How We Roll” shirt! I introduced my wife to D&D about 4 years ago and she really enjoys it. Add this to the fact she’s studying nuclear physics makes this shirt a perfect Christmas gift!

  19. Syndelin says:
    9 December, 2010 at 12:21 am

But Wil, I already has all these things! I would rather have an unsigned poster… wait, wait, hear me out… so I can stand in line to talk to you once again. Since you signed all my books at once (besides the two already signed) at Phx comicon, I have nothing left for you to sign so I have a good excuse to go pester you at cons. Unless I get, er… “creative” and I don’t think Ann or my soon to be husband would appreciate that. 😉

I’d love an autographed copy of the smurf pic. Don’t ask me why.

I heartily recommend Wil’s audiobook of Just a Geek. My friend put it on when we were driving home from GenCon, and it was great to hear Wil tell all those stories himself. We didn’t get to finish it, so I’ll need to pick that up soon.

  22. Chris says:

Here’s to seeing you at the next GenCon Indy! I am extremely interested in a few autographed pics or posters. I have a few friends that need some Christmas gifts! -Do Not Touch My Dice!
By the way, your talk at GenCon was awesome. Getting ready to order some of your stuff.
    Thanks!

  23. MarkSchneider says:
    9 December, 2010 at 6:21 am

LOL, I went to Just a Geek on Google books, and here are the “related” books:
    Pro C# 2008 and the .NET 3.5 platform(makes sense)
After Dark by Donna Hill (????)
Learning Visual Basic .NET (again, makes sense)
Haunted Honeymoon Marta Acosta (what the?)
All I got to say is either somebody is messed up suggesting that, or Google needs to work on their algorithms.

  24. MarkSchneider says:
    9 December, 2010 at 6:22 am

    +1

  25. MarkSchneider says:
    9 December, 2010 at 6:26 am

+1 on the autographed picture/poster. And I vote for it to be the smurf picture, with the winning caption. 🙂

  26. MarkSchneider says:
    9 December, 2010 at 6:33 am

I would guess he plans to, why else would he put “Volume One” at the end? 🙂

  27. Sidra Vitale says:

Just to embarrassingly fangirl Jeremy in front of his sibling: I love your photography *so much*! But I keep needing my money for other things (rent, new glasses, veterinary bills, keeping a friend from eviction) so I still years after first seeing your work have yet to purchase a Jeremy Wheaton print of my very own. Someday. *sigh*. Someday.

I have to agree on the autographed smurfs pic idea. Very awesome.

I would love an autographed smurf pic..but, won’t be able to pull that off for another week.. *sad face*

  32. Girl_noir says:

+1 on autographed poster/picture, yes please!
By the way, Wil, this may be kind of weird to just throw up in a comment on your blog, but I wanted to tell you something. I’m a long-time lurker on your blog and I love your writing. I’ve been having kind of a rough time of things lately, and today I read through a bunch of backlogged posts on your blog in my feed reader. Your enthusiasm for life, and for your creative pursuits, even when things are hard for you or you’re not sure where they’re going, is inspirational. It’s real and it’s relatable and it got me moving again. It made me feel like I can do important things, things that will matter to me, but also to other people. Thank you for that. Keep doing what you do – it means more than you know.

    Happy holidays,
    GN

I would definitely be in for an autographed poster. Or photo.

You can make your life easy by picking from one of the four food groups:
    1) Chinese Food
    2) Italian Food
    3) Mexican Food
    4) Chocolate Chip Cookies
    LOL
Or if you want to eat healthy I will plug my friends at Wahoo’s Fish Tacos!

  35. Miniflikkan says:

I’d love it if you signed a photograph or poster for example for christmas/us! Sounds like an excellent idea!!
I’m a big fan of yours, btw. I’m a middle teenager and saw you in Stand by me in 2007/2008, and been a big fan since! And all the actors in Sbm

  36. Brian Kameoka says:
    11 December, 2010 at 12:49 am

Thanks for including The Guild on your list. I was digging that you used the geek form of “the” (“teh”) in the audiobook listing, thinking wow, what a subtle geek nod. Then I clicked the link and realized, just a plain ol’ error. You’re unconsciously brilliant at geekery.
Merry Christmas to you and yours!

  37. Louise says:
    11 December, 2010 at 11:46 am

A poster/photograph with your autograph would be wonderful and I’m sure that everyone else of your fans and readers would love it too!
I’m going to take this chance to also tell you that I’m a really big fan of yours! I’m born in the middle 90’s and live in Sweden+comes from the same country. I had never heard of you ’til I saw the movie Stand by me in 2008. Now I can’t get enough of you and all the other actors that was in Sbm, such as River Phoenix, Corey Feldman and Jerry O’Connell. It was first last week that I found your blog. I got so excited!! And happy of course! Now you won’t get rid of me *lol* Also, I’ve never been a very big fan of sci-fi and movies like Star Wars or the Star Trek-series, but now thanks to you I have been watching a few clips on Youtube from Star Trek: TNG and I think I’ll have to watch some more. And when you’re in Big bang theory – omg! I’ve never laughed that much!

My friend who received your woot shirt as a holiday gift was flabbergasted. He LOVES the shirt and was happy to get a new one.
In retrospect, I should have bought myself one but I was so caught up in buying for everyone else! *laugh!*

I just recieved Just a Geek and Dancing Barefoot as christmas gifts from my children. Yeah me, I got to open them early and have since read both books cover to cover. I have to say they were awesome and well worth the wait. They made me smile, they made me laugh, and they made me cry. It so refreshing to see someone famous or rather famous for once being famous be so open. Thanks for letting us see the real you and givning us a glimpse in to your world. I hope to obtain your other books real so and as always GEEKS RULE!!!!
