Don’t blame me, I voted for “taco trucks on every corner”.

Tacos are a gazillion times tastier than fascism. That’s just science.

The ironic thing is that Heston probably would have been a Trump supporter.

Dammit, he promised taco trucks on every corner. Where’s that executive order?

I’m still mad that I went a bit out of my way to get quesadillas (no taco trucks around here) on that Tuesday. The quesadillas were good, don’t get me wrong, but what happened later…well, shit. Kind of wrecked them for me for a while.

Well said. But I live in PHX where we do indeed have Taco trucks on every corner. And fascists. With alot of guns.

Wow, spoiler alert. I was FINALLY going to get around to watching that movie tonight, having carefully avoided all mentions of the ending for the past thirty years.

I now live in the DC area… And I miss tacos.
That had to be the saddest part about leaving the West Coast. But hey, between politics and protesting, now I get to live front and center for what might be the closest we’ve ever gotten to “CNN Presents: Jerry Springer LIVE”.

Also… Adobada fries. I have to fly back across the country just to get Adobada fries.

@Teh Danners: District Taco is pretty good

I won’t say that District Taco is bad -it’s not bad, it’s pretty good food, and I wouldn’t want to insult a decent restaurant. But it isn’t in the ballpark of authentic Mexican food, and that’s where the challenge really is. That said, I have definitely seen much worse than District Taco since I moved out here.

Since moving to the area, I’ve encountered:

-American cheese slices plopped onto a Mission tortilla before putting it in the microwave (I saw this from the seating area and left the restaurant.)
-A very unfortunate ‘fish taco’ consisting of lettuce, mayonnaise, and Van De Kamp fish sticks with a sprinkling of cheese on top.
-Steamed white rice with a bit of ketchup stirred in, being passed off as Spanish rice.

It’s like some of these places have SEEN a taco, maybe they’ve even eaten one at some big Americanized chain(taco bell, dell taco, qdoba, etc) and they think that means they can MAKE a taco. These are some of the worst examples, but primarily I see a lot of places that think all Latin food is the same, and it’s just not the case.

Says Heston to “Soros the Progressive”…..

Not a lot of taco trucks or food trucks in Connecticut, so the warning from the Trump supporter of “taco trucks on every corner” makes me want to find a taco truck and order tacos. 🙂

Not a lot of good Mexican/Tex-Mex restaurants in CT. Our thing is mom & pop pizza and seafood joints.

I wish there were Round Table Pizzas out east. Pizza + a medieval theme sounds so cool.

The closest I get to taco trucks is Taco Bell.

That makes me sad, deep in my soul.

And, coincidentally enough, I’m in one right now for lunch. 🙂

Hey Wil, I don’t know if you follow Nerdwritter but if not you should check him out. He did a great video on the things Trump wants to cut.

thank you for linking here! I’d already seen this $$$ breakdown, but hadn’t seen the visual representation of what it means, for anyone who thinks $22.36/yr is too much to spend.

Hey Wil, just saw the trailer for Bill Nye Saves the World (and boy does it need to be saved …) and that you’ll be in the show~! Can’t wait to see it. ^^b

@daswolli: Yep saw that, too! Quite looking forward to it.

Also, Will – I just came across this initiative by the guy who runs the District of Wonders podcast networks. He is doing a crowdfunding for a Science Fiction anthology with authors from a wide range of ethnic backgrounds. He was incited to so when he heard about the “Muslim Ban.” It is aptly called “Everyone: Worlds without Walls”. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1895930248/everyone-worlds-without-walls?ref=user_menu

The podcasts are really good, so there is a good chance that the anthology is gonna be good as well. I thought this was right up you street and maybe you’d like to share it, considering our social media reach. Disclaimer: I am not connected to this project other than being a listener of the Starship Sofa podcast and a backer of the above-mentioned kickstarter.
