Get @reshare_app • @annewheaton This is one of the Get @reshare_app • @annewheaton This is one of the most difficult posts I’ve ever had to make. A month ago, Marlowe was diagnosed with lymphoma. We chose to start chemotherapy right away to give her more time and hopefully feel better. We could tell right away that she was feeling great. She wanted to go on longer walks, have all the treats and affection, and we heard her happily grunting on her backside as she rolled around in her bed or on our own bed, multiple times throughout the day.

Treatment was weekly, and she even got the all clear last Thursday to keep going after an ECG showed she had no heart disease. But on Sunday morning, she briefly had a few moments where she didn’t look like herself and by Monday evening, we decided to take her in for a hospital stay where they confirmed that the lower part of her body was not responding to the chemo.

We spent a couple of hours with Marlowe on Tuesday, loving the hell out of that sweet face of hers. We told her how much we loved her, how much her family loved her, and how much our friends, our neighbors, and people she’s never even met yet, love her to pieces. Then we held her in our arms as she passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 17.

Our house feels so empty without her here. We feel so lost without her routine of solar-charging on the patio, morning and evening walks so she can smell all the things, and the silly dance she did for her dessert every night after dinner.

We are so grateful to have had a bonus month with her thanks to the incredible care she received at the VCA Animal Specialty Group in Glendale, and extremely grateful to @pasadenahumane for rescuing her at just under 4 months old off the streets, so she could spend nearly 14 years as a member of Team Wheaton.

Thank you for loving our sweet girl as much as we did. 🩷🐾🩷

We had some time before the Stand By Me Live show We had some time before the Stand By Me Live show in Pittsburgh yesterday, and @mrjerryoc said we should go to the Andy Warhol museum.

We didn't spend nearly as much time there as I would have liked, but what we saw was wonderful. To see pieces with my own eyes that I'd only seen reproduced before was so special.

And I love this picture of us, on Andy Warhol's couch. We were joking that this is the image that goes with our interview in The New Yorker or Playboy, or something like that.

This was such an epic day on Stage 25. I'm pretty This was such an epic day on Stage 25. I'm pretty sure this was Amy and Sheldon's wedding, and everyone there was as happy and excited as we would have been for an actual wedding. Like, can you believe all of these amazing people were all together in the same place? You sort of have to, because there is a picture, but you get it, right?

I've been watching Big Bang Theory every night, because it's comforting to watch something familiar, but also because every episode I see reminds me of something wonderful that happened when we were making the show. It also takes me back to a time before all of this horror, when everything was just more fun. I miss that. I miss that a lot.

Stand By Me is 40 this year, and I'm celebrating w Stand By Me is 40 this year, and I'm celebrating with Corey and Jerry at a few screenings around the country with a Q&A, and some special surprises. We have a pair this weekend, in Pittsburgh and North Bethesda. Our other dates are listed at stand by me live dot com.

I'm so happy to show you the limited edition poster that we commissioned for this run, designed by Jarrett J. Krosoczka @studiojjk. All three of us are signing them, and they will be available in the lobby. I made sure to reserve mine before I posted this, because I'm pretty sure they will sell out.
I was over on Woodman earlier this morning, and sa I was over on Woodman earlier this morning, and saw this little art installation on a telephone pole. I don't think these pictures fully capture it, but they get close.

I love it when I encounter public art like this, and I love the artists who make it.

Marlowe seems to be responding to her cancer treat Marlowe seems to be responding to her cancer treatment. Her swelling is all gone, her appetite is back, she is asking for the longest walks she's asked for in a couple of years.

She's so happy and energetic, and she really seems like an old lady, not an old lady who is very sick. Later this week we will find out if she is strong enough to do the whole treatment.

We have been cherishing every walk, every snuggle, every moment. We are making the most of the time we have, and she is loving every second.

Marlowe loves you.

Hi friends. I guess I'm Stand By Me posting today. Hi friends. I guess I'm Stand By Me posting today.

We had to cancel our Raleigh show, and I'm so sorry. But here are all the dates we have confirmed, until June.

These screenings have been so special and precious to me. I hope everyone who wants to come see us is able to make it to a show.

Also, if you want to help me out, what's your favorite song on the soundtrack album? Mine's Whispering Bells. I remember listening to it over and over while I played DeJaVu from Mindscape on my Macintosh SE. It's a warm, safe, security blanket memory I'm grateful to have.

So what's yours?
Marlowe is okay right now. She is happy and energe Marlowe is okay right now. She is happy and energetic, and she's taking naps because she's an old lady.

But we got bad news last week. She wasn't feeling well, so we took her to the vet, and found out that she has lymphoma.

She started chemotherapy and is taking steroids for the swelling. Her doctor told us that, if it was working, she'd have a rough couple of days as the dead cancer left her body. It was tough for all of us, but she seems to have responded well, and as of this morning, she is the same happy, gentle, loving little girl we have known for almost 14 years.

Her treatment is six months, alternating oral and IV medication. It's only just started, but she does seem to be responding very well, so we are all hoping for the best.

I know how much so many of you love her in that way we can love pets we have never met. I know that she's special and precious to a lot of you, because she is precious and special to me and Anne.

Of course I'm sad, and I'm trying my best to be present with her, to love and cherish her, even more than I already do, so I don't waste a single day. She is even more snuggly than usual, so she's making that pretty easy.

#MarloweMonday will continue, and I'll let you know how it's going as circumstances change. Hopefully, it'll be good news.

Until then, Marlowe knows you love her, and she wants you to give your pets extra scritches and snuggles.
