50,000 Monkeys at 50,000 Typewriters Can't Be Wrong

it’s a race to remind you of days i can’t find

  • Uncategorized

Hey, if you’re into hearing the sound of my smooth chocolately voice, point your browser to Taste of the Goods tonight at 7PM Eastern Standard Time, and tune in.
I’m talking about Dancing Barefoot, Shark vs. Croc, and some other stuff that’s so top secret, I don’t even know what it is.

Is it dark or milk chocolate? ‘Cause you know that white really isn’t chocolate. I’m assuming with nuts, right? :)-

You really shouldn’t use the phrase ‘my smooth chocolately voice’ when I’m reading it in the middle of eating a Ghiradelli chocolate brownie. 🙂
(First time poster, love your blog now that I’ve been reading it for a while. I look forward to your posts!)

I feel the “Caveman vs Astronaut” topic should be mentioned. It’s socially relevant. In fact it’s the debate that’s sweeping the nation.
It’s a sign of the times my friend.

Is it just me, or are the real, wm, and winamp links all busted… I didn’t try the mac link but everything else fails.

  12. wil says:
    25 March, 2004 at 4:11 pm

The Mac link gave me a .m3u file, and I am listening to it now through iTunes.

winamp link is working for me, although all I hear is endless chatter and no Uncle Willie. You sure you’re talking tonight Wil? 🙂

Listening right now, seems to be going really well. They’re giving Wil plenty of time to talk and the questions are sufficiently open-ended to have interesting answers.

Your voice was definately smooth and chocolatey!! 🙂 Great job Wil!!! I was one of the 90 increased listeners tonight!

Hey Wil, thanks for sharing about your relationship with the boys. It was great having a chance to speak to you if even for a few. Thanks for being so personable and open to your fans.

  24. Sarah says:

My roommate and I sent a question by e-mail, but they only answered call-ins. LAME.
It’s probably a good thing, since our question was really just a request for you to sing Stand By Me on the air.
    Heh.

  25. Andrew says:
    25 March, 2004 at 5:54 pm

I tuned in about halfway through. What I heard was great though. I loved the part where you went into your character’s voice.

Great job on the show tonight, Wil! I really enjoyed hearing your smooth, oh-so-chocolatey voice. Glad to’ve helped raise up the number of listeners by ninety! ;D

    Correction – Brandi-chan!
Here you go, Wil – you can start saying “I’m sorry” in japanese. Sumimasen = I am sorry. (Yes, I watch too much anime. It’s an addiction, what can I say?)
Anyone know “I’m sorry” in German? :)-

Hey Wil. I’m a usual TOTG listener and I just wanted to leave a comment to say that you are awesome. Just because our stream reached 105 listeners at it’s peak today.
    Just plain awesome.

Cool… tho trying to remember what that translates into pacific time wise.(and hope it plays nice with linux… some stations online sites don’t like xmms for whatever reason) 🙂 I’ve still not figured out what that Shark vs Crock thing is tho it sounds intresting. Sounds like a sci fi battle or something. 🙂 (or that battling robots thing)
Btw thanks again for the doink doink. 🙂

According the the Unscrewed newsletter, you’re on the show tonight.

  32. WebNuT! says:

Wil, the tone and pitch of your voice, the inflections in your words…just the general manner in which you speak (clear and concise, predominantly intelligent with little hint of self doubt) leave me with a tough time thinking of your voice as being “smooth chocolately”
“Dark and Smooth Guinessy” maybe… 🙂

Or go directly to his photo page
Wil, you have the singular honor of being the only celebrity I thought enough of to put a picture of on the intro page.
These photos are from Wil’s appearance at Trek Expo 2003… Come back soon, Wil.

hey wil, what about your interview on techtv? it was good btw tho your lookin kinda rough, ya need ta get some rest.

  35. Jessica D. says:

I really liked the show tonight, Wil, excellent job!
I especially liked what you said about how parents should not try to be their child’s friend. My current step-father has never once attempted to be a father-figure since he married my mother and, even though I’m now out of the house, I find it really annoying. The man refuses to punish my kid brother when he does something wrong for fear that my brother won’t like him anymore. He *so* doesn’t get the point of the word ‘parent’.

Good luck with that Wil. You have a great face for voiceovers. hehe. Just to let you know, Toy Soldiers continues to garnish scandalizing news report.

Look at what was playing when they showed this controversial tv spot.

I hate to sidetrack this comments board but I agree with the people who protested. There should be some accountability for advertisers. When you have a product like lingerie you should think before you buy that spot in the middle of a movie geared to children.

Heh… IF you want to hear another fine example of Wil’s chocolately voice, you might want to mosey on over to UserFriendly.org and click this little clicky [.wav file].
By the way, Wil, thanks for doing that. All your loyal fans on UF have been waiting. 😀

oh you fucking assholes…I am not spammer for chris sake..I just wanted to show great writing to you fools.
    It’s here…Oh nevermind…Go, go, just go away..
I wont tell you more about that…

  42. Scott says:
    26 March, 2004 at 1:54 pm

Jenn – I agree with you on your point. But, Toy Soldiers isn’t really a movie geared towards kids. It’s about a terrorist organization that takes the student body of a prep school hostage. Lots of cursing, blood, violence, calls to phone sex hotlines, and Keith Coogan using an inhaler.

Just ordered Dancing Barefoot today…looking forward to reading it, only sorry that I can’t hear you tonight as I won’t be home in time.
