50,000 Monkeys at 50,000 Typewriters Can't Be Wrong

this is why i love twitter

  • blog

Twitter haters are the new blog haters are the new ‘zine haters are the new mixtape haters. You’re so totally unimpressed. We get it.

Here is an example of why I love Twitter:

wilw: Say you are at a luncheon, stone cold munchin’ . A girl starts talkin’ while guys are gawkin’. This is the appropriate time to bust a move

scottarius: @wilw but I ate so much i nearly split my pants!

torgorama: @wilw You want it….you got it.

brlittle: @wilw though having been overly enthusiastic in your attentions the buffet, you may need to consider the likelihood of ripping your trousers

ShawnRC: @wilw Question: Do you check your libido before or after you stroll to the church in your new tuxedo?

My joke is moderately funny, but the responses elicited many LOLs. That’s why Twitter is fun.

Look, Twitter haters: Don’t make a fuss! I’ll have your Twitter. I love it! I’m having Twitter, Twitter, Twitter, Twitter, Twitter, Twitter, Twitter, Twitter, Baked Beans, Twitter and Twitter.

I love following you on Twitter and I’ve recently joined myself. I find it a quick way to comment on things I notice going on around me and to see what others are up to.
Have you seen the latest comic at Penny Arcade about Twitter? I about died when I read it:)

Twitter has become a strange addiction to me. I love some of my fellow Twitters twittiness. Sarcasmically delicious one-liners!

Baked beans ARE evil, I’m eating some now and I can guarantee you all, if I could share the results, you’d ban them.
On a more serious note, i don’t love twitter so much becuse it means long and great blogposting is last year’s toy.
And as a word pig, I wants the long posts and the lengthy preambles. ;o)

Twitter is awesome. Your twitters make me LOL. And there’s lots of good info that gets posted on various people’s twitters. Twitter is a main course of win.
It is, indeed, your fault I’ve been singing that song all day. 🙂

I’m having Twitter, Twitter, Twitter, Twitter, Twitter, Twitter, Twitter, Twitter, Baked Beans, Twitter and Twitter.
Well, these haters, could I have their Twitter instead of the baked beans then?

Twitter’s cool; I do wish I had more time to respond quickly enough to be funny. Instead, I have to catch up all at once, and then think of all the cool things I *could* have twittered back, right away. Meetings most of the day + a long, long drive = serious lag. Le sigh.

i just recently started following you on Twitter. I enjoy your humorous bits and asides. I do not tweet much unless there is something ongoing. Anyway, enough blatherings.

I’m having Twitter, Twitter, Twitter, Twitter, Twitter, Twitter, Twitter, Twitter, Baked Beans, Twitter and Twitter.
“Could I have that, but without the Twitter, please?”
“Well, it wouldn’t be Twitter, Twitter, Twitter, Twitter, Twitter, Twitter, Twitter, Twitter, Baked Beans, Twitter and Twitter, now, would it?!”
Personally, I loves me some Twitter. Almost as much as I loves me a nice MLT, a mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is nice and lean and the tomato is ripe. They’re so perky, I love that.

Twitter is awesome. It’s been said before how great it is that regular ole fans can interact with people they like, and sometimes even get responses back. I love that people like you, JoCo, numerous podcasters, comic legends, etc, are willing to put yourselves out there and interact with us.
    I’m mrpunkjess there!

I love Twitter for the fact that I can have a piece of the internets with me at work, on my phone, and get away with it. I also love that you can track whatever key words that you want to. I also love the fact that tracking “syn” on twitter comes up with some really random, and totally hilarious (at least out of context) tweets, pretty much daily.
Also, your updates make me laugh just about daily too. It always makes my day better when I’m amused by some random thing you throw on there. <3

I’ve really gotten into twitter the last few months, though I am am bit fickle following and unfollowing people.
    to add to the list:
    – “I don’t like Twitter”
    – “Well, there’s always Twitter, Eggs, Sausage and Twitter… that’s not got much Twitter in it.”

    Just like the birds

I\’ve recently noticed that Twitter is starting to become the next big thing. Articles about it have started popping up in online magazines, newspapers, and even good folks like actor/writer/comedian Wil Wheaton has started blogging about how […]

*”Another all you can eat Twitter just opened up down the street”
-“Let’s give it a few days before we start to follow”
*”Ugh, by then the Twitter may be all gone, or full of other Twitters causing a mass @ effect”
-“Fine, we’ll follow today. But, if the last Twitter is more than a month old, we’re dropping that place”
*”Deal. Hey, remember when Stephen Colbert was on Twitter…”

I actually find this post highly amusing considering that I had a twitter account over a year ago and never did anything with it until today, since two of my LJ friends popped up on it… and now I am following 8 people on twitter, including you.
    Go figure.

  20. Beeeej says:

I don’t hate Twitter at all… I hate the constant “You only hate Twitter ’cause you don’t get Twitter, stop hating Twitter, you Twitter-hater!” coming from the Twitterpated. I also hate the current trend toward LiveJournal users opting into the daily LJ post of their previous day’s Twitters – I opted out of Twitter because I didn’t want to read your Twitters. Why on earth should I be subjected to them on LiveJournal?!
I’m sure Twitter tastes great, is less filling, and makes you taller and a better dancer. I just don’t give a crap, and I shouldn’t have to be beaten over the head with it.

These aren’t the tweets you’re looking for.
    Move along.

Friendfeed consumed twitter and added its distinctiveness to its own.
I’m only using twitter coz friendfeed’s broken. Hmph.
