SpoilerTV has a press release about my episode of Criminal Minds!
THE BAU TEAM HUNTS FOR A SERIAL KILLER WHO STAGES CAR ACCIDENTS TO HIDE THE TRUE NATURE OF HIS CRIMES, ON “CRIMINAL MINDS,” WEDNESDAY, OCT. 22
William Mapother (“Lost”) and Wil Wheaton (“Numb3rs”) Guest Star
“Paradise” – A serial killer who disguises his victims’ demise by creating car accidents to mask their earlier deaths is the subject of a BAU manhunt, on CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, Oct. 22 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. William Mapother (“Lost”) and Wil Wheaton (“Numb3rs”) guest star.
I keep seeing my name in press reports next to Jason Alexander and Luke Perry, and now I get to also be mentioned next to WIlliam Mapother! This just keeps getting better and better.
I am seriously afraid that I’m going to wake up. I hope they let me keep the flute.
Update: Semi-related to this (it’s a stretch, but if you don’t like it, you can go complain on the Internet), I just got an e-mail from Felicia Day, who says:
I’m the lead patient on “House” tomorrow night, Tuesday Sept. 23rd, 8/7c! The episode is called “Not Cancer” and I’m really proud of it. If you have a chance, please tune in!
Thank you!
OXOX
Felicia
Yay Felicia! I’ve never watched House, but Anne and Nolan love it. I’ll watch anything my friends are in, though, so I’ll be able to talk about it at the watercooler on Wednesday.
If, um, I had a watercooler. And didn’t work from home.
Hey, it’s the thought that counts, right? JEEZE! GIVE ME BACK MY RED STAPLER!
Wow…not just Wil, but Dr Ethan Rom himself. It’s a nerdgasm of guest stars!
Also, I have to say I’m surprised to see Wil “Numb3rs” Wheaton. I guess of your recent work, the “CSI” job is usually front in my mind.
But then you’d end up playing in the Jeffries tubes with a beautiful one-time-only co-star (who is not your wife). Is that really what you want?
Maybe some hot older chick from stellar cartography will come visit you soon, too 🙂
“I hope they let me keep the flute.” ~sigh~ my favorite episode of TNG.
Congratulations on your success. I love “Criminal Minds” and will be watching.
I gave up on “House” after the first season. Too much irascibility I guess. I will check it out to see Felicia Day though.
Wow. Congrats! I will be sure to check the EP out!
🙂 SCC
JEEZE! GIVE ME BACK MY RED STAPLER!
Yeah, um, I’m going to need you to move your desk. You see, we need to store these boxes in here, m’kay? Great.
Haven’t been keeping up with House but I’m excited about Felicia’s episode. Same thing about your episode of Criminal Minds.
I’m really looking forward to the new season of Criminal Minds. and of House. I’d watch even if Felicia wasn’t on, but the fact that she is a wonderful bonus!
I loved the flute reference. Although it really looked to be more of a recorder.
Reminds me of when I am arguing with someone I’ll sometimes go “THERE. ARE. FOUR. LIGHTS.”
I love it when people get it.
S.
This is going on all the calendars at home (yes I am obsessed with time and the structure of days and years and blah blah blah – I’d like to say I’m a timelord but they’re all dead except for the Doctor and even then … uh, I’ll shaddup now), and the one I have at work.
Watercooler is in the mail. See you in the kitchen Thursday morning.
Always glad to see what you’re up to, acting-wise.
(wow, but you had a lot on your mind today)
So sweet of them to schedule the episode for my birthday time, really.
Can’t wait to see it!
Awesome! I love Felicia Day and House! I would’ve watched it even if I hadn’t known she was in it, but now I’m super excited to watch it. 🙂
And I’m interested in tuning into Criminal Minds Oct. 22. I’ve never watched the show, but if you’re in it then it can’t be bad. 🙂
Re: your keeping the flute comment:
AWESOME. I hadn’t thought about that episode in a long time. It was really a terrific performance by Patrick, and the guest roles too. Good times, good times. One of the great episodes of TNG.
Oh, Wil. You’ve been sniffing the black markers again, haven’t you?
>Wil Wheaton (“Numb3rs”)
… gotta be cool to see yourself referred to as a member of that show. congrats
>I hope they let me keep the flute.
I think that was the best TNG episode. It really touched me (and not in a “show us, on the doll” kind of way)
Oh, and if you’re going to watch any House. I strongly recommend that you start by watching the old episode “3 Stories” (First season). Truly an outstanding episode. One of the best of any show I can think of.
*squeals* I CANNOT WAIT!! I have been waiting for this for months. I would so love to interview you the Friday after it airs so that you can actually talk about it. Two hours of Wil Wheaton talk and music. I am way too giddy at the moment. You should have heard me talked about you last Friday when you were one of my featured Geeky Pleasures.
Yep, got the DVR set to record “House” tomorrow night because of Felicia Day, and will do the same for your episode on “Criminal Minds” in October. I haven’t watched either show in a while, but it’ll be fun to see you two doing one of the many things you do best. And by that, I mean “acting”.
Oh, and I wish I could say the Swingline is mine and you can’t have it back…but, alas, I do not own such a wondrous item. Someday….
@ all those who have never seen Criminal Minds, ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS EVER!!! Criminal Minds, Numb3rs, Nip/Tuck and House MUST WATCH TV
Regarding Keeping the Flute.
That literally was the best story to come out of the entire Star Trek universe. And my favorite one across all versions of the show.
Your alluding to it, is a most honorable thing, as it appears to have made a lasting moment with you as well.
For it truly, was something to behold.
Now on to Criminal Minds, I haven’t watched a single episode, and I’m certain it would be great to do so. Eventually I’ll probably get it through Netflix and watch it that way.
I love Criminal Minds, I can’t wait to see this.
I have to admit, I was a regular fan of that famous series you did a few years ago, but unlike many, I didn’t have a problem with Wesley. Reading your blog has been interesting. Some of us average Joes forget that the folks we watch every week are just better paid average Joes. Thanks for your blog and your books.

speaking of the TNG episode, my husband just saw that one recently…he’s always teasing me that they keep making new episodes for him since he hasn’t seen them all yet (I have no idea how he considers himself a fan if he has missed so many episodes)
Just had to say I love the flute reference. That one is in my top 3 episodes of all time. Maybe #1.
Well, you have done the impossible… you have made me de-lurk. Never thought it would happen.
Only been reading your blog for a couple months, but I am both impressed and pleasantly surprised at what I have found here. Know that picking up a book or 2 is in my future, but only if the Royalties are promised for something… well… joyfully distracting. 🙂
“Inner Light” is by far my favorite episode, and I am delighted to find that not only is it one of your favories, but of your friends here too!
Thanks… not really sure why. Just.. thanks.
PS: how about flying to the East Coast so us locationally challenged types can have a chance to say hi in person? just sayin…
You want your red stapler back? Here’s a lovely Jello mould.
Congrats Criminal Minds. Looking forward to it. Can you remind us the week before (when our TiVos have the correct listings)?
One of the best moments you can experience with another human being (outside of the obvious) is when you make an obscure reference and the other person “gets” it. To be able to share that moment is the stuff that bonds families and friends and fans alike. Saw that episode a couple of weeks ago and for some reason I got a little dust in my eyes again just like the first time I watched it. Stupid emotions!
No way, monkeyboy, my sister got me that stapler for my 21st birthday!
(True story)
Pick up your shoes, Wil. 🙂
Congrats on “Criminal Minds”! I’ve never watched it yet, but I’ll tape it and watch it. That day is Game One of the World Series, so I’m sure you understand about priorities ;-), but I’ll watch it.
Patrick Stewart was right—you are a fine actor, Wil. Looking forward to Criminal Minds. (For the record, I always liked Wesley on TNG. You made him believable and because of that I never hated/resented/dismissed him.) Go for it, kid!
I love Criminal Minds, so I can’t wait to see your ep. And William Mapother (forever known as Ethan to this Lost geek) is scary.
*marking the calendar now*
A reference to not only one of my all-time favorite movies, but also one of my all-time favorite TNG episodes…wow.
It’s enough to get a person to delurk.
Love the blog Wil. I’ll be sure to watch the Criminal Minds ep.
