Happy Birthday wishes go out to TigerMelP and belated birthday wishes go out to Angie_k! Hope both of your days were great and that the rest of being 28 treats you both well. =D
1981? Really? That sort of makes me feel old, but not really because I’ve always been a bit of an old soul. The one and only memory that I can remember vividly from that year was my Mom telling me that I couldn’t go to the Rolling Stones concert at JFK stadium with my teenage sisters. I totally understand why she said no now that I’m older, but at the time, I was just so pissed at her! I was one surly eight-year-old! lol
28’s a great age to be, and take it from someone who’s been there and lived to tell the tale: 30 is NOT your enemy. 30 was literally the best year of my life. 35 hit me a lot harder for some reason. 35 just sucks in general. Thank God I only have two months and two days before I turn 36!
Angie, you had me cracking up because before I knew when Wil’s birthday was (which would be for most of my life) and then once I did (five years ago today, exactly), there is no way in heck I could ever forget his birthday because it’s one day after my friend Johnny’s and two days before my eldest niece’s birthday. She’ll be turning 26 on Saturday. Johnny, I’ve lost count on him at this point. All I know is that he’s somewhere in his early to mid-50’s, and he’s not giving out any hints. Worse than a girl, I tell you. lol

Happy Birthday, I told you that earlier last time. Haha. Yeah don’t think I’m weird or anything, but I do watch the movie Stand By Me once a day, sometimes I don’t, lets just say I watch it alot, haha.37 is not that far away from 20, 60 is. (:.
So Wil, I have a question, do you think it’s weird that I watch Stand By Me everyday? (:
My mom keeps, including my friends get tired of me watching it all of the time. (:

Happy Birthday! Bonne Anniversaire! Omedetou gozaimasu!
You’re at the last prime for a while, so enjoy it. Also, 37 is my favorite number! I have 7 years to get there, but I’m so looking forward to it. ^_^

Awww… and NOW I go through the rest of the posts and see that the primes have been brought up already. I feel like a cheap imitation of myself – I should have posted earlier. Oh well – happy birthday anyhow. Hope you’re comfy in bed already unlike your brethren to the north (it’s 95 in my hosue w/ no a/c, sigh…).

Happy Birthday! Thankyou for the many happy times you have given me and mine. Never forget you’ve helped so many in your short time. Always remember your work has helped as least one, me, so it’s worth it.

Happy Birthday Wil Wheaton. A lot of the guys your age are getting out of prison now. Let’s cross our fingers for them.

Happy (belated)Birthday you bloody peasant. Congrats on the Guild appearance! I must admit to letting out a very non-manly ‘squee’ of delight when I saw the news during the interview with Felicia Day on xbox.

I may be a day late, but the sentiment is still the same. Happy Birthday. Thank you for sharing your writing, profound thoughts, and your daily sillyness.

Two hints. 1. You can change the view to full screen or letter boxed as the case may be instead of looking at the back of your Avatar’s head. 2. Change your privacy settings not to show what you are watching online. If you don’t the whole wide world of Xbox live will know what you are watching. Guilty pleasure movies are a plenty on the instant que. :o)

My sympathies to you. Life does indeed go on, I lost my Mum and Dad November last year. My advice is to do whatever you feel like doing. Everyone acts differently. Cry, if you feel like crying, dwell on their images if that comforts you, focus on the here and now if that makes it easier… A good walk in the sun and country generally does it for me. You do her memory proud with the last line. The bitter-sweet memories get easier as time progresses.
    Kindest Regards,
    Tim.

Sigh… Happy Birthday Wil. for all of us that don’t have always-on internet; and thanks for reading this far down. I’m not 37 and not old, just comfortably numb..

I turned 37 last month. I hate having to push the up button on the treadmill when it asks my age. I’ll enjoy my last 3 years of not being old. Hope you had a smashing b-day, Wil.

A belated Happy b-day! Here’s a Marianne Faithful song that mentions your age in the chorus.

And hey, it’s all the excuse you need to make sure you ride through Paris, in a sportscar, with the warm wind in your hair.

I know that this response is getting to you a few weeks late, but I wanted to extend my sincerest condolences on the loss of your Mum. While I haven’t lost a parent yet (it’s my greatest fear), I did lose my brother about six and a half years ago and still get sad whenever I think of him. I can’t imagine what you must be going through at this time, and to be quite honest, I really don’t want to imagine losing a parent, but also know that it’s not in my hands and there will come a day when I’ll have to face that reality. Your Mum sounds every bit as you described her, beautiful, brave and compassionate, so try to remember those things about her and the good memories that you’ve shared with one another. I am so very deeply sorry for your loss.
    Take Care,
    Danyiel

Thanks Danyiel – only occurred to me to read my reply again off of Wil’s loss, and saw your reply. Grief sucks! May you not have to face it for A Long Time, if ever, I nearly made it to 40, may you make it to many years older and older, and if I meet whoever invented this sytem I will personally kick their arse!
I’m doing – okay. Not great. Not soaring.
    Okay.
    And that’s fine by me!
