50,000 Monkeys at 50,000 Typewriters Can't Be Wrong

“as his kilt rises…”

  • WWdN in Exile

I think this is one of those rare things that can be equally enjoyed* by those who have context, and those who don't.

'As his kilt rises.' Felicia Day and Wil Wheaton as Codex and Fawkes in The Guild. By Greg Aronowitz.

*for very disturbing values of 'enjoyed'

What has been seen cannot be unseen!
…and I’m not quite sure I WANT to unsee it, either… *conflicted geekette is conflicted!*

I saw this earlier today, it’s DRATW if you ask me. Would love to have a print on my wall 😀

Ohhhh Greg. Thank you. Also, have a psych evaluation ASAP, ‘kay?
If this isn’t inspiration to get to the gym more often, Wil, I don’t know what would be.

  13. DeLynn says:
    25 July, 2010 at 1:58 pm

    DEFINITELY DRATW!!! 😀
I can’t wait to see the rest of The Guild this season…and possibly more Eureka! (Do you know yet if you and Felicia will be guest starring in the same episode?)

  14. JanM_JadedRogue says:
    25 July, 2010 at 1:58 pm

Totally a DRATW kinna thing…. would make a wonderful background on my laptop…. Mmm

Why didn’t you dress like this for W00tstock on Thursday? I suddenly feel cheated.

  17. Nat_A_Lie says:
    25 July, 2010 at 1:59 pm

Hot damn. Even I would read that romance novel!

  18. Jcrodewald says:
    25 July, 2010 at 2:00 pm

Baaah. That’s not even a real Scottish castle in the background *g*

  20. Wannabeelf says:

  21. SandieK says:
    25 July, 2010 at 2:02 pm

Huh. Apparently the kilt thing isn’t new. Guess I should actually watch more than the occasional blurb. Oops?

  22. Henry_Hui_Hui says:
    25 July, 2010 at 2:02 pm

Where is the Unicorn Pegasus Kitten waiting in the background for you to ride off into the double rainbow sunset on?

  23. Joel King says:
    25 July, 2010 at 2:03 pm

I want this on my WALL. Mostly for Felicia, but still.

  24. Renee Stephen says:
    25 July, 2010 at 2:06 pm

That’s sort of how I always pictured @wilw in my head anyway. Even down to the teeth on the sword. (Though usually he has the head of a slain enemy in the other hand.)

  25. Nat_A_Lie says:
    25 July, 2010 at 2:07 pm

Great Wheaton in a Kilt! It would be magnificent and horrifying all at once!

  26. Jules says:
    25 July, 2010 at 2:09 pm

    Pure awesome!
I saw @ThinkGeek tweet a button with this on it yesterday. Is there any place where we can acquire such a treasure?

  27. Joel King says:
    25 July, 2010 at 2:10 pm

http://twitpic.com/28ddoy <-- Yup, button on the monkey. Heh. "Button on the monkey." Heh.

  32. Wil says:
    25 July, 2010 at 2:17 pm

Greg Aronowitz. He's a genius, and builds the sets and props for The guild (among other things.)

  33. Robyn Allegra says:
    25 July, 2010 at 2:19 pm

I was just thinking the same thing!

  34. ValkyrieDMN says:
    25 July, 2010 at 2:19 pm

Yes, as a matter of fact, I *would* pay for a print, hang it on my wall AND carry it to a Con to be signed while struggling to beat down the gushy fangirl in me. Hmm..can someone a few years shy of 50 still be called a fangirl? 😉

  35. Jimpook says:
    25 July, 2010 at 2:23 pm

Wil: That is so many kinds of awesome!
    One word: “T-Shirts” !!!!

  36. Xatrax says:
    25 July, 2010 at 2:24 pm

Gracious. Have the lovely ladies of Smart Bitches, Trashy Books gotten a gander? Because there would be squeeing and shouts of “Man-titty, ahoy!”

  37. aichambaye says:
    25 July, 2010 at 2:29 pm

Ok, I love this. Here’s why:
First, it looks like someone photoshopped your heads on to other people’s bodies. Dude, your shoulders do not look like that, and I don’t think I remember any scarily bulging veins. However, the bods are hot. LOL.
Second, I think it’s fucking funny. DUDE. LOOK AT YOUR SWORD. LOL.
Third, I want to write a *really bad* romance novel based on it, and someone at the Fawkes/Codex site I visit wants to read it.

  38. Tgjer says:
    25 July, 2010 at 2:43 pm

    *in Takei voice* Oh my…

  39. Nat_A_Lie says:
    25 July, 2010 at 2:48 pm

The accuracy with which he got both of your facial features is astounding. He is my new art hero. I shall go burn my pencils and paints and pastels forthwith, for I am not worthy.

  40. MaryKate Meyer says:
    25 July, 2010 at 2:58 pm

Well Wil… you *clearly* don’t need that ‘muscle’ suit from your Trek days…
    in my best Nimoy voice,
    “Fascinating”

  41. Jules says:
    25 July, 2010 at 3:01 pm

I want the shiny and awesome button! It would be the perfect addition to my collection.
    Seriously, pure awesome.

  42. Ufgood says:
    25 July, 2010 at 3:04 pm

Will, you look more like Riker every day.

  43. MaverickWolf says:
    25 July, 2010 at 3:12 pm

Man, if I could get one of those Felicia Day’s, I wouldn’t want my hands occupied with a sword at all…..

  44. 3clipse says:
    25 July, 2010 at 3:12 pm

    I think that’s a muscle shirt…. 😉
Reminds me of the Bruce Campbell poster for Army of Darkness. 🙂 But different…..

  45. twitter.com/capnasty says:
    25 July, 2010 at 3:16 pm

ST:TNG should be digitally remastered to have Wesley Crusher look like this in every episode — sword and all.

  46. Jacquilynne Schlesier says:
    25 July, 2010 at 3:20 pm

This blog falls immediately after Smart Bitches, Trashy Books, a romance novel blog, in my RSS feed. When I flipped from that one to this one and still ended up with that picture, I was confused.

  47. Wil says:
    25 July, 2010 at 3:25 pm

    Wait. There's a Fawkes/Codex site? Is it TeamCawkes.com?
Wait. Never mind. I don't want to know.

  48. Petrillic says:
    25 July, 2010 at 3:32 pm

This must be rendered on velvet in all due haste!

  49. Sebmaniac says:
    25 July, 2010 at 3:33 pm

So, where can I get one?

  50. aichambaye says:
    25 July, 2010 at 3:33 pm

It’s not TeamCawkes.com…. but I’m going to go over there now and check it out.
And no, Wil, you really don’t want to know, so I am really not going to tell you. It’s kinder, seriously. There’s fanfic there. And icons, fanvids, and all kinds of other stuff that would embarrass the hell out of most of us to have you see.
    We love the pairing.
Also, I personally love Fawkes. He’s deliciously douchey, actually.
