I took a lot of pictures when I was in Washington, DC, but I think this one is my favorite:
“…and I want a Higgs Boson, and a unified field theory, and the solution to Maxwell’s last equation…”
It’s important to be easily amused, everyone.

I have to find this statue when I go back to DC
You know you’re a suspect in this manhunt, right?

Oh my bones. That is too cute! Stop it, Wheaton, just stop it!
Saw this on your twitter and laughed. Great photo, perfect caption.
i’d like the spooky action at a distance to be completely understood.. Nice picture!
Yeah! Monument in my part of the US! Woot, local pride.
My fiancée works at NAS and has been bummed out all weekend that she missed seeing you on the way out!
I will tell uncle Al you said hi…
This photo is absolutely beautiful. (As are your new-ish tattoos!)
For those who are curious, it’s on Constitution Ave outside of the National Academy of Sciences. https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=38.89211,-77.048391&spn=0.003937,0.005836&t=m&z=18&layer=c&cbll=38.89211,-77.048275&panoid=z_xYY88YA_-5BH7Bc3Yv1g&cbp=12,338.68,,2,2.92
Yes, easily amused is a big plus because when I saw this picture on your twitter feed I laughed for about five minutes straight. Perfect caption is perfect…
“The answers have changed.” Albert Einstein.
Dude, we have got to meet and party.
Best photo ever!
Wow, that is super cool! We love posing with statues, but that one’s definitely cooler than any we’ve managed so far.
That’s quite a large statue you have there!
Just… don’t blink. (Statues like that have always given me the heebie-jeebies. Thanks Moffat for enforcing that idea.)
I met the artist, Robert Berks, 30 years ago when he came to my high school (NCSSM). In the school library is a small copy of the memorial that he gave to us during the visit. It was his working model.
There is so much to this artwork. For example, note that he is seated on three “steps” and the universe is spread out around his feet. The three steps match three deep furrows in his brow – the idea is that the monument itself is a view into Einstein’s mind. Pretty meta and pretty cool at the same time, and not bad for the 80s, eh?
Wil, that photo is a keeper!
I lived in DC for 4 years way back in the 90s (OMG, did I just say “way back”? eeek!) out of all the monuments in the entire area, this one was my favorite.
Is the ink on your forearm new? I’ve never noticed it before!
Being the nerd that I am, I have to ask if you knew there was a virtual Geocache there? Love geocaching, and like a wise man once said, “being a nerd is not about what you love; it’s about how you love it.”
Love the pic! Thanks for sharing.
I like this pic a lot. That is all. 🙂
You’re so cool Wil!
Proof of a unifying theory! About 15 minutes after watching an old episode of Numbers that you guest starred in I was checking my email and saw the twitter post leading to this blog entry. Awesome Pic!
Oh hon, adore this one!
Long time reader, First time poster: Well played, sir, well played!
You also snapped a photo with one of my friends who works for the Secret Service – he was proud and I was jealous – way to go man, way to go.
I don’t remember what post it was where you suggested watching Orphan Black, but you are so right! I am totally obsessed!
I’ve been seeing the commercials for your show! I pause and re-watch every one! Can’t wait for it to air!
