50,000 Monkeys at 50,000 Typewriters Can't Be Wrong

this one is for non-judgmental ninja

Posted on 11 January, 2015 By Wil

I was trying to make a snowman, and I just couldn’t get the snow to stick together.

I started to feel bummed out, because I don’t know when I’ll get a chance to make a snowman again, but then Non-Judgmental Ninja showed up, and we made this together:

It's Snow K

…wait for it.

I think Riley will be my version of Pun Husky.

To make a snowman it takes a specific type of snow. Snow from when its on the warmer side of the snow temp range, most often occurring at either end of the snow season. My guess is that its too cold where you are right now and the its too powdery, where ch is great foe snowboarding, skiing and sledding, but not so much for playing. Its also the nest to shovel because its so light. I’m glad NJN showed up to let you know!

Yeah, most of Canada is actually too cold to make snowmen and snowballs for most of the winter! Especially last week shudder. We always did it in October and March/April when the snow got sticky enough. Glad you enjoyed Lake Louise! We are just a few hours away from there (PS – I’m the one that made that knitted gingerbread house from Twitter. I feel like it needs a knitted Wil and Anne now, making the attached snowman).

Stared for a minute, then gave up saying “I don’t get it, it’s just a snow-K ohhhhhh”

Is it something where being a North American would help you get the joke? Or maybe I’ll try again post-caffeine…

Speaking as a father of a daughter who truly lives for snowmen, I have went to all lengths to make them in poor conditions. I have found with really “dry” snow, it is best to fill a trash can with very packed snow & then dump it over. Repeat & try your luck at stacking the second one on top. At this point you chisel the snow man out of the trash can shaped cylinder thingy.

OMFG. I needed this sooooooo much right now. Just came from a mandatory meeting at work after working a full overnight. I’ve been up for nearly 20 hours, and I’m super caffeinated (normally not after 4 AM so I can sleep during the day) and super cranky over them changing all our benefits and sending in some Bob to use catchphrases at us about it and super stressed over having to redo all my paperwork by Friday, etc, etc, etc. I need to get to sleep and shouldn’t have turned on my computer, but I needed some decompression time, so I’m checking my usual haunts. Glad I did. This. Helped. snowkay. Moving on. Thanks, Wil.

To make it easier to get, I recommend making an uppercase A to the left of your snow creation. You know, to tell viewers it’s A-snow-K.

Did you really want to build a snowman?

If yellow snow is bad, You really don’t want to eat the blue snow.

AS HARD AS YOU WORK IT IS GOOD TO SEE YOU AND ANNE AT PLAY. I WISH YOUR NINJA FRIEND WOULD HELP THE WORLD GET IT’S S— TOGETHER AND MAKE THE WORLD COME TOGETHER.
