50,000 Monkeys at 50,000 Typewriters Can't Be Wrong

The Titansgrave book goes on sale this Thursday. If you’re watching the show and plan to get the book, please read this first.

  • Books
  • Games
  • Titansgrave

I wanted to have the whole series finished and released by today, so we could have the book come out after the story had wrapped up. Life happened, and now we won’t wrap up the whole thing for another two weeks.

This means that on Thursday, the script for Titansgrave — including the two unaired episodes — is going to be available. This means that anyone who wants to can find out how it ends.

I’m not the boss of you, but I beg you not to skip ahead, if you’ve been following the story week to week. I watched an edit of the finale yesterday, and it really is some of the best stuff we’ve done. If you know what happens before you watch it (at least, according to the module), you’re going to rob yourself of some cool stuff.

I want you to buy the book. I want you to love the book. I want you to run The Ashes of Valkana for people who haven’t watched the show. I  want you to have your own adventures that are inspired by the book.

But I don’t want you to spoil the end for yourself, or for anyone else. So please, read carefully.

Thanks for listening, and if you do get the book, I hope you have fun in our world.

Oh, speaking of Titansgrave … here’s today’s episode:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuZHC1ceZkk

And here’s a delightful song a young woman wrote about Jeremy:

Finally, if you have found or created Titansgrave fanart of any kind, I really want to see it so I can share it with the cast and the team. I’d love it if you’d leave links in the comments.

There’s a book? That’s awesome, didn’t know that. Will wait until the show is done though for sure. 🙂

The “book” is a module for use in the gaming system that Titansgrave is using. It is basically the “DM Guide” that Wil is using to run the campaign.

      (BTW, Happy Birthday Wil!)

Where abouts in the world are you located? Are you aware of meetup.com, they have lots of roleplay/tabletop/larp meet ups/ groups all over the world (mostly in big cities though) you could try them if you’re looking for a group.

Also, behold the glory of online gaming! Roll20 and G+ are great for online gaming. I’d love to run Fantasy Age online sometime.

I’ve been waiting for the book to come out since Episode 0. I’m running my own game using the FantasyAGE system and I’m looking to supplement what is in the main book with materials from Titansgrave. Mainly a lot of the “crunch” aspects.

Fortunately I usually don’t read through the modules in any published works so I wouldn’t have stumbled on the spoilers. That said, thanks for the heads up so I know to deliberately avoid that area of the book.

Where will the book be available for sale and will there be an ebook release? I looked on Amazon, but it’s not listed there.

      http://www.GreenRoninShop.com

If you pre-order it before next Friday (not a hard date) then you can get access to the PDF for an extra $5.

      At the Green Ronin store

      http://greenroninstore.com/products/titansgrave-the-ashes-of-valkana

but you will probably want to get the Fantasy AGE basic rulebook as well if you want to actually play (it’s sold on the sane site). They’re both still listed as a pre-order’s on the website, but I have the PDF because it was an extra $5.00 with the purchase of the hard copy.

A book geeze take all my money…just kidding can’t wait to get it all and try to get my D&D group to go with it for some reason all they want to do is D&D (the only thing that has me still playing with the is that we are doing an evil campaign and I think I’m the only one in the group who knows how to play an evil character..lol).

Skip ahead? Wouldn’t dream of it.

The journey is the reward, particularly in gaming.

One doesn’t play to find out if Dirk saves Daphne from the Dragon… One plays to experience it as it unfolds.

You want us to buy the book. You want us to love the book. I would like to be ABLE to buy the book. Life is tough if you’re a European, concerning RPG’s. I have been asking the somewhat unfriendly people of greenronin about where it would be sold in Belgium, but to no avail. It would be great if it could be sold and shipped to Belgium – preferably through a local game store, since I can’t buy it over the net (because I don’t have a credit card. If you live in a medieval hamlet there’s no need for credit cards anyway). A word on this would be nice, since I really love what you did there, and I would like to support it through purchase of the book (and the fantasy AGE book). I already started writing the beginnings of a game I was supposed to DM…

For all which are asking the book is sold by greenronin (http://greenroninstore.com/collections/fantasy-age/products/titansgrave-the-ashes-of-valkana).
The link was in the post “begin transmission” from 20 of July, back then also the pdf version was been promised, now it disappeared. I would love to have a paper copy (I would love to have both) but shipping it to Europe cost 42$.

I hope that a DVD/Blu Ray disk set could be released with all the footage one day. I would really enjoy to see this project in its entirety.

Your call for art has ignited the waters, please leave the comments open for a while to accommodate production. On a side note, just got home from listening to the National Symphony Orchestra play live to a showing of the film Star Trek (2009), and composer Michael Giacchino was present! It was awesome, This golden experience will take its place in the top three percent of my personal archives. Not long after the performance began, shooting stars began to streak across the sky (I was on the lawn.)

WIll the question of what happened to Hobb be answered in the book? My husband and I and our son have been watching the show, and love it… But I cannot move past what happened to Hobb, I think just as a mother, I need to know why he was left.

    1. Wil says:
      24 August, 2015 at 11:59 am

The answer to your question isn’t in the book, but I can tell you that Hobb was surrounded by people who loved him for his entire life, and he was never alone.

      1. littleonemp says:
        25 August, 2015 at 12:27 am

Thanks so much for your reply. I will stick with my original idea of what happened to him then because it goes with what you have said.

What we came up with is that Hobb was born with an autoimmune disease and couldn’t be around people for fear of infections. So his father built the house hidden in the mountain which is a sterile environment and then built Runcible so that Hobb could have a friend. Then when Hobb died peacefully in his sleep after being sick for so long, his parents decided to let him stay in his favorite place because their grief was too great to stay in the house with so many memories. And Runcible wanted to stay behind to care for his friend while he slept.

Thank you for making titansgrave, it has really made me want to get into RPGs and had made my husband get back into it.
