Tabletop Season 4 Day 6: Flashpoint Fire Rescue

  • Games
  • Tabletop

We played a co-op game that’s as unforgiving and intense as any I have ever played: Flashpoint. In this game, we are firefighters, trying to save people from a burning building. The thing is, fire is relentless and unpredictable, and the people who live in this house are hazardous materials collectors. So … yeah. It’s intense.

I played with Clare Grant, Seth Green, and Kelly Hu. We had AMAZING and beautiful painted minis for this one, including the Hazmat Specialist, who Seth and I agreed is pretty much Cobra Commander:

It was a really fun, and incredibly intense game. I’m excited to see how it comes together in the editing suite.

How did Clare Grant do with playing a game where she couldn’t aggressively go after other players? I’m guessing she tried to push your mini into the flames at least a few times.

I won’t get into specifics, but Clare’s competitive enthusiasm was … discussed … more than once.

I’m looking forward to seeing it, and all the other Season 4 episodes — glad to hear it went well.

My best friend and I played Flashpoint a couple of years ago at a Tabletop Day event at a local game store. It was so much fun! Very happy to see that it’s going to be on the show! (In our game everyone dreaded my turn because I was rolling SO BAD. I always managed to spread the fire exactly where we didn’t want it.)

I’m really looking forward to this game. I bought a copy of Flashpoint for my husband for Christmas a year ago yet we never seem to get around to playing it.

I seem to remember recommending this one for a play back in season 2 and/or 3 days (and I probably wasn’t the only one). Glad to see it finally made it onto the show – it deserves a bigger audience. Classic cooperative gameplay.

Hurray for Seth & Clare! I was really hoping they’d be back this season.
And yeah, totally Cobra Commander. = )

I’m so excited Kelly Hu is back! Too bad Nolan isn’t there to flirt with her again. (I’m not living vicariously you’re living vicariously shut up!)

Wow, I’m so excited you’re doing Flash Point: Fire Rescue on Tabletop. I provided editorial support – as an independent contractor – for the game. I’m the last person listed in the credits.

I’m so glad you had a blast playing it. I can’t wait to see how it turned out!

Does anyone know if the miniatures are standard or part of an expansion? They look pretty sweet.

Wil, when will this appear in your channel?

I don’t know. Legendary, which owns geek and sundry, is handling all the releasing this season.
