14. You should check out Lazerhawk’s Redline. It’s total 80’s exoticar bravado/action movie type stuff. If you’re unaware Miami Nights 1984’s “Early Summer” is also one of the, if not the best in the genre.

27. Started having an anxiety attack about an hour ago. Now I’m hiding in my office at work and listening to this and it’s helping lower my anxiety. So ’80s music and music that sounds like it’s from the ’80s can soothe Gen X anxiety. Hooray!

33. Welcome to the world of retrowave/synthwave. I came across that last summer (if only because YouTube pointed me that way based on searches I had made for “new wave playlist”). 34. I have to say that as someone who produces Synthwave music (that’s the actual name for it), I love when people discover it for the first time. It’s like listening to someone who’s just watched their first episode of Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad. I always get a bit jealous at the thought of everything they’re about to experience.

    It’s clearly the theme song to the 1987 buddy cop road movie “Slippery Road” featuring Frank Cobretti and Lost Boys Saxophone Guy pursuing human traffickers between Galveston and Fort Lauderdale.
