Most of you know this, but for those of you who don’t…

I have a small part on the first episode of MST3K’s first revival episode. Erin Gray and I get to deliver all the exposition about Jonah’s backstory. It’s pretty great, and this was a freaking dream come true for me.

Knew it. LOVED it. I screamed in recognition of your appearance which scared my cat. You (and especially I) owe Misha an apology and treats 😉

Erin Gray is one of my favorite people in Hollywood, and it only gets better when Wil is involved. I would gladly (and gratefully) watch, listen or read anything these two ever do together.

Really keen on seeing this as soon as possible, Mr. Wheaton.

Wil, just catching up on Season 2 of Dark Matter. Oh how I want to smack Alex Rook. You played him smarmy and evil. It was perfect.

Plus, I loved the that you got to share the screen with Erin. First television crush was Wilma Deering.

Erin Gray was one of my childhood heroes. Jealous, but also happy for you. Sounds like it was a ton of fun, and fulfilling.

congrats on the gig. Wil you were in my dream last night. you were drawing on my arm. we were talking, i don’t remember about what but it was kind of personal i think for both of us. I don’t remember what we were talking about but I am not open about the depression that i have struggled with for 25 years so i assume it was something like that (i have been having a hard time lately) . on my arm you drew a tree, kind of brown/orangey bark with white leaves, and black like accent branches. i said it looks great, i have a thing for like skeletal trees.
you are one of those people that i would love to have a conversation with. thank you for that and thank you for being there. Be well.

I read the article in Newsbeuter (a command line RSS reader) and jumped to the site as soon as you said Erin Gray. Disappointed that it was only a picture of you. 🙂

In the not too distant past,
    Couple months ago last week,
There was a guy named Wil,
Who was more than just a geek.
    He worked at Gizmonics Institute,
Just another face in a blue jumpsuit.
He did a good job delivering exposition,
But it’s just a bit part so there won’t be repetition…

  25. telzeyamberdon says:

Yup, when I backed this, the first thing I posted on the Kickstarter page was that for everything to be perfect, Wil Wheaton had to be in it. Not kidding! I laughed and laughed when practically the first thing on the first show was your scene.

(I confess I did not know that was Erin Gray, and I was such a hugetastic fan of hers! Mea culpa! I feel like I’m a bad fan-girl!)

Yes! We watch MST3K every Friday at work, and recently started into the new season. People were identifying actors as they recognized them, and I got to say, excitedly, “Hey! That’s Wil Wheaton!”

A few moments later someone said, isn’t that the guy on Big Bang? And said, yeah, Wil Wheaton.

And then someone said, Wil Weaton, I think.

Maybe I was too excited to speak clearly.

But yes, awesome to see you up there.

beedee beedee beedee… what a body… (and yes, I know originally that was directed at Princess Ardala)

Small part? Try star. Based all other character actions on your screen time. I’m calling you the Cosmic Weaver.

  29. DanStorm says:
    28 May, 2017 at 8:36 pm

Every time I see you on screen, I am like, “Hey! Look who it is!” This was no exception 🙂 My musical theatre geek wife knows you by name for that very reason, haha.

Until the next time, good sir…

Most of us don’t know because this blog is literally the next to the last whistle stop on the Wheaton social media line. This stop is where all of the anachronistic, non-Twitter-versant, early aught geriatrics like myself wait for tidbits. It’s my own fault though. I chose this backwater. I know it. It’s homey.

The last stop is, of course, Willoughby.

Wil, this episode just made me so happy to hear. Not the anxiety parts, although your description of the beginning of an attack strangely didn’t trigger me and instead kind of validated me and I’ll try to keep it in mind when convincing myself to keep breathing and that I’m not dying and that I can and have and will get past it. “You know what this is” is my biggest tool in my panic attack belt. Not a multi-tool to fix it all, but at least to keep it somewhat in check more often than I used to be able to.

But I am 100% with you on the Be Kind plan. As I get older, I realized more and more that the only thing I can do from day to day is to be a better version of myself. Whether it’s taking classes, getting better at my job, becoming more open, learning about new experiences and lifestyles… there is always a way to improve myself, and that’s my goal, every day. “Don’t be a dick” covered it succinctly, but as someone who has enjoyed you as an actor and has really enjoyed the pieces of your friendship that you and Chris share (GIF pronunciation arguments will NEVER not make me laugh), I have to say that I mostly just enjoy you as a person, in the bits that you choose to share with us. I want as many people in my life that want to evolve and progress as possible, and the change from the passive “don’t be a dick” to the active “be kind” is exactly the kind of evolution into making the world a better place based on how you live your daily life that fills my heart to see.

Thank you for everything you choose to allow us to be a part of, and I’m sorry for the people that can’t respect the boundaries that you are not only completely justified in setting, but that we’re extremely lucky that you set so far into your personal life.

Um, duh. Migraine fog time = bad communication. “This episode” = podcast episode.

It did make me super happy to see you on MST3K, too.

    Wil & Erin Gray? A sci-fi delight…

And a nerd’s delight of anecdotal info:-
Apparently, in utero, the darling beedee beedee beedee… was my favourite sound. So, when I was born (the day after the Empire struck back, no less), my papa decided to name me after Col. Wilma Deering- the most commanding woman in space.

But – real talk- mum’s a redhead and so was I- so in thinking ahead to the Flintstones jokes sure to come for his little red-headed Wilma- he named me Erin, for her instead.
