50,000 Monkeys at 50,000 Typewriters Can't Be Wrong

It was a warm, wet, summer evening when the mantids attacked, without warning or provocation. We huddled together on rain-soaked streets, listened to the distant artillery, and waited…

I made a thing! I’m currently working on other things that will join it, to form an electronic music EP, which will be released at some point in the mysterious future.

My 12 year old son is working on learning to make his own electronic music. He calls it Trap music, but I know nothing about stuff kids these days listen to 😉 I’m just proud when he tries to make his own thing.

What gear are you using? I just recently got into electronic music production myself and am really digging the Korg Monologue I bought as an entry level synth.

Really nice! Indicative of the new wave of “original” electronic music that is much more crafted and designed as ambient mood than just samples. Have you ever listened to Electronic Groove? They do “podcasts” of this style of music which are just hour to 90 “sets” by international DJs and musicians.

I made a thing too, and after sitting on it for a month I’ve decided to share it here, since Wil’s readers and commenters are such a great bunch, and I’m feeling more than a little scared and weird.

I purposely put it on a week-old post so as not to look like I’m trying to intrude upon the reception for Wil’s own great thing. Is that OK?

I haven't actually listened to a full album in a really, really long time. Like, other than Pink Floyd records, which must be listened to in their entirety, always (I will not be taking questions at this time), it just hasn't occurred to me to listen to, say, all of In Utero.

wild child

I looked at it, curiously. Why do I still have this?
