I have this idea to make something as a unique art project. It is either the craziest, dumbest, most impractical thing ever … or it’s a crazy, dumb, impractical thing that will be awesome.
I will need exactly one million people, from anywhere in the world, to make it happen. I wonder if that’s possible.
Feel free to speculate, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Sounds interesting to me
You need 1 million people. There are 470 million English speakers in the world (low-end estimate). 1/470 = 0.002. So the question really is, can you convince 0.002% of a group to participate? If you went to the mall and asked 0.002% of the (say) 300 people shopping to help, you would need less than one person.
So, yes. 0.002% is doable if you have the means to contact the entire population of 470 possible participants.

You might want to consider teaming up with that kid who wanted free chicken nuggets from Wendy’s (or with Ellen DeGeneres). They both seem to know how to get this kind of thing done. 😉
I’m in, obviously, but I have what may be a strange suggestion. Joseph Gordon-Levitt developed his HitRecord idea that is worldwide, you might be able to use his model to get this idea off the ground.
