New Tabletop! LORDS OF VEGAS!

  • Games
  • Tabletop

Today, I have the  honor of presenting the last episode of our second season of Tabletop.

It’s Lords of Vegas, with my friends Miracle Laurie (who you probably know from Dollhouse, but you should know from her band Uke Box Heroes), and Angela and Aubrey Webber of the delightful band the Doubleclicks.

I hope you’ve all enjoyed season two as much as I did. As proud as I was of our work in season one, we learned a lot from it, and I’m extremely proud of the improvements we made (on camera and off) during season two. If we get funding for season three, it’s going to be uh-mah-zang.

Until next time … PLAY MORE GAMES!

You’re making me broke, Wil! 😀 My husband says all this board-game buying is better than lots of other addictions, so he’s cool with it 😉

    If? IF?! Not if, when!

If you don’t get funding, you should crowdfund it. It wouldn’t be the first web series I’ve liked enough to pay money to, and I sure hope it isn’t the last.

Second what Ben said, get crowd funded and I’ll gladly join in. Looking forward to Season 3!

I’d love to see a charity raffle or auction for a chance to play on Tabletop. Maybe do it at a Con (PAX Prime 2014, nudge-nudge). Logistics would be tricky, but just a thought.

You are so never allowed again to say you’re not popular. We needed like 45 minutes last night to get TableTop to load. I think if the server had emotions it would have cried from the stress of having the masses overrun it. 🙂 We didn’t give up, either, cause we wanted to see TableTop NOW.
Point made. Now go get Season 3 funded! 🙂

Great, I can’t wait to watch – I love Tabletop, I love the Doubleclicks, what could possibly go wrong? (Wait… Isn’t that the question that you should never, ever, under any circumstances ask because then it’ll all definitely go wrong in ways you wouldn’t have expected??? Well, now I’m even more looking forward to watching it!)

I third what (other) Ben said – not sure how much Tabletop costs, but I’d throw some cash into a crowdfund.

100% behind a crowdfund if that’s what it takes!

I usually try to avoid +1’ing stuff, but to the idea of kickfunding season three: “Me Too”

Yeah, add another one to that, I’d pay for more TableTop.

On the subject of funding for TableTop, is there a way we can make donations or subscribe to support the Show? I would love to do what I can to make sure that we all PLAY MORE GAMES!

Loved the series! There has to be a season three, and it has to feature Cthulhu Wars! (:= Please oh please oh please oh please make it an epic Tabletop, right up there with your wife demolishing the entire North American rail system.

Wil, I totally love your TableTop show. I watch some episodes over and over (which probably means I need to get out there and actually play more games besides watching you and your friends).

The only request I’d make is that you and your guests discipline your phraseology a little better, or at least make better use of the “bleep.” Some programs I’ve watched have not been fit for family viewing. Simply speaking, there’s too much swearing.

Good luck with season 3 and (hopefully) beyond! I’m continuing to enjoy this series, and it’s definitely helping add to my game collection.

Too bad the game is out of stock at the only distributor Mayfair works with. Go Mayfair. /rolls eyes

Love the show, new video, and agree with everyone else about this show needing to continue.

These game distributors and producers need to get their $%^$ in order. I know you have said on a couple of occasions that you make it known what games are being played over the course of the season, yet this game is still out of stock when it comes time for it to air. Other games from earlier in the season are also sold out, and I would buy them instantly if they became available at a non-inflated price (Lords of Waterdeep and Betrayal at House on the Hill come to mind). Hopefully these companies get their acts together.

I was just wondering: have you ever considered raising money for the new season through crowdfunding? I don’t think it would be a bad idea, considering how Tabletop is growing in popularity, though I imagine it would be incredibly expensive (I mean, the quality is downright amazing).
    What do you think?

Thanks for all of the Tabletop videos. My husband and I gamed for years, playing weekly D&D and Shadowrun sessions. We had kids and gave it up for the most part. We have a group of friends who meet to play board games once per month, but we didn’t have any for ourselves at home. Thanks to Tabletop, we bought Takenoko and introduced our kids to it. I bought Castle Panic and Munchkin to bring along with us to our next group. I really love the videos, and I really appreciate that you are publishing them. They are great fun, and it’s getting me to go out and buy new games!

Dear Will Wheaton, today is my 40th birthday and I wanted take this time to thank you. Not only did I enjoy seeing you on television and movies as a kid, but I also have had the pleasure of watching all the TableTop videos on Youtube. And as a direct result of your videos my wife and I have gone out and purchased monopoly, ticket to ride and settlers of catan. We are now having regular game nights with our kids instead of everyone splitting up to their seperate rooms and electronic devices, and having a blast! We also have plans to have a game night each week with some family friends. So I guess in short I wish to say thanks for the best birthday gift yet. My family all in one place together and happy. God bless you. And your wife and kids too. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work. I hope there will be a season 3.

Sincerely Johnney Ehrlich. A grateful fan.
