Before I say anything, I should point out that, yes, the last entry should be titled TAKE THAT, Comic Book Guy.
It is a glowing, shining, permanent example of just how totally over-extended I am in my life right now.
I actually woke up last week, and realized with great horror that I was simply…empty. I was totally out of ideas, and didn’t have anything interesting to write about here. I think I’m being pulled in too many creative directions all at once, which is A Very Good Thing(tm)…but I’m more than just a little bit bummed that I’m not living up to my own standards here, recently…I mean, come on, reruns?! That shit is played, y0.
Anyway, since last time I wrote, I’ve actually been out in the real world doing stuff: I hiked to the top of Henninger Flats with Anne and found a geocache, went to Sacramento to collect on my bet with Boomer and The Dave at KWOD 106.5, and signed 200 pictures for the Star Trek Cruise.
There’s some other very exciting stuff, but I can’t talk about it yet. π
I’ve been up since 4AM on 5 hours of sleep, so I’m going to slllllllmmzzxxlxpxhghgxxxxxxx

Okay, so. I'm developing this Star Trek Lower Decks fan fiction I call The Wedding Crusher.
Write you fool: Congo Bongo
This is about Congo Bongo, except for the parts that aren't.

I haven't actually listened to a full album in a really, really long time. Like, other than Pink Floyd records, which must be listened to in their entirety, always (I will not be taking questions at this time), it just hasn't occurred to me to listen to, say, all of In Utero.
look! an old man is talking again!
When I was young, I thought dudes in their 50s were lame and had nothing to offer. Now that I'm one of those dudes, I understand what a gift it is when you ask me to share my experiences.
Hey, Wil!
Man…it must be nice to sleep during the daytime hours…you “stars” really have the life.
Get some sleep, dude…
Take care,

I think other people’s wastebaskets are most writers’ best friends. π
Well in my country it’s 2:30 AM right now. I’m supposed to be in bed by now, but I can’t sleep. I fear that a nightmare will come. But when I can’t sleep I always visit this site, cause the things you write Wil is interesting and funny I think.
Another thing I do when I can’t sleep is that I watch Star Trek, cause they’re showing it on two different channels in my country, and they both show it when it’s night. Cool huh? I hope you’ll get some rest though, and all the others π G’night everyone.
Bye, Helene
Here something for you to write about: did the the keyboardist from the revolution have his clothes stolen by the keyboardist from deadsy? And did the guy from Orgy have his voice stolen from the singer of deadsy? And does deadsy even matter when we should all still be contemplating the significance of the Parabola video? Discuss. =)
Unca Willie was in Sac-town? Dang, missed it.
Geocaching in CA has become… hot and dry. Unfortunately the greens are turning brown and our socks are full of pricklies.
Not like that stops us. π
Yes, bring back absinthe (absinthe makes the heart grow weaker), and Opium (fond memories of the Poppy Scene form Wizard of Oz…)
Don’t panic about feeling empty, or creatively mangled…I mean…stretched. It happens all the time. If it’s just because you’re tired, then rest. There’s something very pleasant about laying in bed, secure in the knowledge that for the moment, your only required action is breathing. And if it’s not because you’re worn out, then shake things up a little. Do something creative you haven’t done before…paint, sculpt, make some paper, knit, grow a plant, do anything expressive you haven’t tried before. It’ll knock something loose, I promise.
I’ve never heard of geocaching before, but after looking at the site you linked to, I’m seriously intrigued here. (Yeah, I live under a rock…just not the same one as the cache, apparently…hehe.)
Aaanyway…do what it takes to feel better!

Uh huh.You know the story about the boy who cried wolf?
Sorry, but after being burned on April 1, I have a hard time believing you!
It doesn’t have to be April Fools Day to have a little fun with your visitors, right??
I hope there is good news, but I’m afraid I’ll believe it when I see it!
Fool me once……….
It’s:
“Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.”
I think.
I refuse to be all nice and “try this, the sadness will pass, I know this works, etcetc.”
You’re older than me. Use your damn elder knowledge and experience.
On that note, be happy, you lug-who-gets-to-be-in-movies.
I’m so going to bed now.
Not to worry… I find that when things in life are going well, that my journal entries get fewer and far between. While the good stuff is always worth telling (especially by Wil, it seems…), the bad stuff seems to unleash a certain about of inspiration and passion in telling… Consider your recent lack of ideas proof that things are GOOD! Nice rationalization, eh?
oh! Free Cake concert in DC on Saturday!! Woo HA!
Hmmm….no sleep… sounds oddly familiar. I’ve been working 10-12 hour days with the rugrats and then spending the better part of the night suffering through statistics.
The final exam is due tomorrow…
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I’m giving it a 95% Confidence Interval that it’s not a train!!!!!
wil: writers block…the blah dull feeling that you have nothing to say…the “i don’t wanna do it” feeling…it’s just the counterpoint to the days when you can’t type fast enough to get all the brilliant thoughts captured…and without the days of creative struggle…the days that it seems to come so easy wouldn’t be such a rush…then again…it could be the barometric pressure squeezin’ your mind…enjoy your meal…d. burr
