50,000 Monkeys at 50,000 Typewriters Can't Be Wrong

so this happened (one in an ongoing series)

  • Television

Since last week, I’ve been working on the season finale of The Big Bang Theory, and today we shot Amy and Sheldon’s wedding.

It was an incredible day, and I am still in disbelief that I got to be in multiple scenes with Kathy Bates, Laurie Matcalf, Jerry O’Connell, Brian Posehn, Lauren Lapkus, Teller, Courtney Henggeler, and this guy, who is not only one of the kindest people I’ve ever worked with, but is also from a science fiction franchise, just like me!

All of my dumb jokes aside, Mark Hamill isΒ exactlyΒ as awesome and professional and funny as I had always hoped he would be, and he will go down in my Life Book as one of my childhood heroes who I was delighted and honored to meet (and work with OMG I GOT TO ACT WITH MARK HAMILL).

Yeah, there is no way I would have been cool about that…probably would have cried because I would have been so overwhelmed. I have heard from many different people (interviews, podcasts, etc.) how genuinely nice Mark Hamill is – makes me happy every time. I love loving and supporting genuinely good people…like you, Wil. Thank you for sharing! <3

I got to meet Mark Hamill at Salt Lake Comic Con (before they were forced to change the name). I even have photographic proof! He’s every bit as awesome as he seems πŸ™‚ Although now I have to watch the season finale of BBT. Great. Only for you, Wil.

It’s been ridiculously fun watching you and other BBT cast members sharing how amazing it was to meet Mark Hamill, I’m so happy you all had that opportunity.

I’m not a huge Star Wars fan. But on behalf of my cousin, brother and three kids:

    OMG! You met LUKE SKYWALKER!

WOWZA! Luke Skywalker!! Man. Now I’m curious, do people come up to him and say “Luke Skywalker” or do they actually call him by his given name? It must have been great to work with such a cool guy!

An ongoing series? Yes, that does sound like a good idea. Get Chuck Lorre on the phone!

I love that you get all fanboy over other actors. To me, you’re every bit as squee-worthy as Mark Hamill!

OMG so happy for you! I haven’t watched BBT in a few years, but I might have to tune in for this one. So glad you got to meet a hero who stayed a hero. That’s always a lovely day. Glad you had a lovely day, and may the Force be with you. πŸ™‚

Wow in that first photo you could easily be mistaken as father & son. You both look quite alike.

All the fangirling going on here. ALL OF IT I TELL YOU!

Seriously, though, I love that you’re down to earth enough to GEEK THE F OUT over getting to act with an actor you are a huge fan of since like forever. We’re all just humans geeking our way through life after all. πŸ™‚

    from a science fiction franchise

I know this one. War of the Stars.

How many Wilbux does that earn me for the lightning round?

He played Hank Stormsoldier, who’d travel around the San Fernando Galaxy in a space truck with his sidekick Jimbackus getting into fistfights and whatnot.

Most people claim the sequel, Empire Which Way But Loose, was the best, but I still prefer the first.

        I’d watch that.

It always makes me happy to see people I’m a fan of be happy and show that they are fans of stuff too that make them happy.

I used to watch and enjoy your shows on Star Trek.. Why do you have to live with chronic depression..Sit in solitude, close your eyes, think of Lord, imagine he is within you and start feeling the joy of his presence.. Gradually depression will give way to genuine happiness. Best wishes.

Hi Wil. Only posting here because the comment sections are currently closed on the posts regarding blocking people on twitter. I assume I got caught up in the minifig thing somehow, though I didn’t even know any of this happened until yesterday when I was telling my brother in law that you had blocked me on twitter at some point. So I presumably follow someone you have an issue with. I don’t know. I was really surprised when I found out that I had been blocked. So if you could be so kind as to unblock me it would be greatly appreciated…. and if I follow someone who is problematic to you, I do apologize. I only say shitty things to shitty people and you are not that, so I can’t even imagine what I could have done if it’s not related to the minifig issue. @RLyons116

As a long-time fan of BBT, I can attest that that episode was hilarious and smart and touching. The work you all did–the writers, actors, director, set designers, costumers, makeup, and continuity (AMY HAD ON HER TIARA!!)–it all came together seamlessly. I’ve watched it three times and I still laugh at every joke. You guys did an amazing job. I’m so glad you had fun doing it!
