50,000 Monkeys at 50,000 Typewriters Can't Be Wrong

so this happened (one in an ongoing series)

  • Television

Since last week, I’ve been working on the season finale of The Big Bang Theory, and today we shot Amy and Sheldon’s wedding.

It was an incredible day, and I am still in disbelief that I got to be in multiple scenes with Kathy Bates, Laurie Matcalf, Jerry O’Connell, Brian Posehn, Lauren Lapkus, Teller, Courtney Henggeler, and this guy, who is not only one of the kindest people I’ve ever worked with, but is also from a science fiction franchise, just like me!

All of my dumb jokes aside, Mark Hamill is exactly as awesome and professional and funny as I had always hoped he would be, and he will go down in my Life Book as one of my childhood heroes who I was delighted and honored to meet (and work with OMG I GOT TO ACT WITH MARK HAMILL).

What’s the big deal Wil? I’ve “acted”, hung out, and even did some mock lightsaber battles with Mark Hamill many times, but I didn’t brag publicly about it. Jeez.

Yeah, YOU’RE Mark Hamill was an actor, and mine was just a guy that washed cars down the block, but still, it was MARK FK’ing Hamill. Well, actually, his name was Markus Hamilton, but close enough. Piss off, I’ll keep my memories and cherish them. =)

    Good day to you, sir!

As so happy seeing you guys together. It makes me giggle, and I am waaaaay too old for that activity.

Giggling is good at any age. It’s good for the mind, soul, and contagious for anyone standing near you, which is what this world needs right now. Cheers Mariko!

    Wow. Just wow.

Over the decades I’ve had the chance to meet a good number of my heroes and faves (mainly scientists/engineers, authors/writers, musicians/composers), and I’ve also had the chance to spend significant time (meal, drinks, etc.) with several of them. The vast majority were extraordinarily chill, and the ones that weren’t let us know in advance (true!).

I haven’t added actors to the list simply because I feel they need their privacy, what little of it there is (due to their extreme recognizability), and I chose to not diminish it. But I’d make an exception for the chance to meet Mark Hamill.

Wow. Thanks so much for sharing this. I’m now an ever-so-slightly lighter shade of green…

Awesome Wil!! Glad you got to rub shoulders with Luke Skywalker!! How’s Vern doing? I mean Jerry O’ Connell. I went to the Stand by Me 30 year anniversary 2 years ago and I must say I was a little disappointed you weren’t there. You are my Luke Skywalker and a legend to me and many others. Never forget your childhood and never grow out off it either!! I’m from Burney Ca. And got the pleasure of meeting you back in 86! Shit before Nintendo. Glad to say the train bridge over Lake Britton is still pressurved and getting ready to be a walking/ biking trail for all. Going camping in Mcloud this weekend actually. Love ya Wil.. Gordie!!…Luke Skywalker!!!

You da man Wil. The time you’re on this hit show is a nice break from all the other cool things you do like the novel, Tabletop and Titan’s grave.

The caption that popped into my mind for that first photo was “When Mark Hamill tells you to pull his finger, you pull his finger!”

So happy to hear Mark Hamill is one of the good guys. They say never meet your heroes because you might find out their political/social views go completely against yours but there are some exceptions.

Next time ask him if he knows if the Corvette from Corvette Summer still exists.
I liked that movie, and since I was nine at the time, I mean I liked the car.

I like that movie, too! I saw it at the drive-in with my friends when it came out. Annie Potts was in that before she became a Ghostbuster secretary or a designing woman.

    YOU HAVE LIVED THE DREAM!

Also, it’s wonderful to know Mark Hamill is as perfect and warm and amazing as he seems; it makes the garbage world seem better. He jut exudes joy and light, doesn’t he? I saw him from a distance as he stood onstage at Letters Live and it’s as if he lit up the entire theatre and all of our hearts. goes to find a corner and go cry about how wonderful Mark Hamill is

no one has said it yet, so…”Amy and Sheldon are getting married!???” 🙂

I’m behind on BBT, but not that far behind.

I’ve loved your appearances on the show, as well as those of other guest stars. Happy to hear you had a great time!

Trek and Wars? Living TOGETHER?!? OMG!!!

Just kidding. I’m proof you can love both equally!

Also, there are 3 people who heavily influenced my love of Sci-Fi as a kid. I’ve had the privilege of meeting you on multiple occasions. Just like you said about Mark Hamill, to me you were “exactly as awesome and professional and funny as I had always hoped he would be, and he will go down in my Life Book as one of my childhood heroes who I was delighted and honored to meet…”

I’m hoping to meet Mark Hamill myself, as he would be the second of the three. Unfortunately, I never got the privilege of meeting Leonard Nimoy, but if you haven’t seen it, check out “For the Love of Spock”, made by his son Adam Nimoy.
