Haha, nice! Presenting such a prestigious award to such revered artists must have been a great honor. 😉

Wow 1990. I was a junior at Riverside University High School that year. That’s also when my Medicine Woman gave me my Medicine Name Wabun Anung which means Morning Star 🌟 “A Sign of Hope, a coming of a NewDawn.”

I was born the same year as you and remember this. The outfits and the glossy hair were so…boss!

Donnie Wahlberg in that video is now a respected and successful actor. A year after that video, he was arrested for first-degree arson (set a hotel room and hallway on fire, endangering a bunch of lives and destroying a lot of property). He could easily have gone to jail and become a felon who would never have an acting career. But he dodged that bullet and remade his life.

You aren’t the goofy tween in that video anymore. You could have been another Dana Plato, but you dodged some bullets, figured out a lot of stuff, and have worked hard at remaking your life.

On the other hand, though you are each successful enough in your own ways, you are not wealthy enough to purchase and burn every copy of that video or bleach it off the interwebs. So, your only choice is to avert your gaze, blame it on the questionable style of that era, and be glad about how much you’ve grown. Well done!

That shirt AND the Arsenio Hall arm pump?!? I love it. 30 years later and that clip is still as glorious as it was when it originally aired. Thanks for sharing!
    😂
Side note: One of my husband’s favorite sayings is “Hangin tough like Donnie and the boys”. Sadly most people don’t even get it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Wow, guess that answers my question to if that was you, thanks!
I also found a quick clip of you getting slimed that year (1990), here it is if you’re interested: https://twitter.com/RealMagitroopa/status/1244007657729638401

As an FYI, I’ve recently been trying to find as many KCA full shows as possible. Unfortunately, I have yet to find the full 1990 show anywhere… I’ll keep an eye out for it, though. Thanks again for confirming that is you!
