I love this webcomic called Poorly Drawn Lines, particularly a character called Mouse. I identify heavily with Mouse.
So about two years ago, when Reza (who writes and draws the comic) partnered with YouTooz to make a Mouse plushie, I smashed that pre-order button so hard it left a dent on the screen.
About a year ago, someone from YouTooz reached out and asked if I wanted to make a little plushie of my own with them. Of course I said yes, and immediately got to work spitballing what it would look like. I eventually settled on Bedhead, a coffee mug, my octopus tattoo, and a black t-shirt with a design that celebrates my allyship, my love of tabletop gaming, and being punk as fuck.
Here’s what he looks like:
Isn’t he adorable? His little coffee mug is attached with velcro, so you can take it off and replace it with whatever you like, limited only by your imagination and the laws of physics.
I’m from the Star Wars figure generation. Getting an action figure of myself when I was a teenager was a really big deal for me. When Funko did a Wesley Crusher, I just about lost my mind. So getting a little plushie dude who is such a fantastic representation of me is also exciting and a whole lot of fun. My sample has been hanging out with Mouse in the bookcase, and they are very happy together.
YouTooz is taking orders for the next 26 days, and it’ll ship early next year.

Since I don’t live in LA anymore and can’t see you at nerd things for hugs, I will hug the plushie when I do nerd things in Tampa.

Possibly? No, not possiblyโwe’ll definitely be sleeping with his plushie! But Anne will understand that it’s just the platonic love half the planet feels! After 30 years of knowing each other and being together, she must be used to it by now and knows Wil is only hers, and that sleeping with a plushie isn’t the real Wil, hahaha.
I suppose all the fans who love Wil also love and respect Anne, simply because she’s the one who takes care of Wil and brightens his days. ๐

Hey Michael, I’m sure that when I told you that if you genuinely cared about Wil you wouldn’t pressure himโsince you pretty much demanded that he answer your private messages like 6 times or more on Patreonโit probably bothered you, you blocked me, and I get it.
But I don’t know if you realize that you’re crossing the line from being an admiring fan to indiscriminate harassment and psychological manipulation, which is honestly awful! Especially knowing Wil’s personality.
I’m well aware that I can be intense and leave a lot of comments for Wil, but I do it publicly, respectfully, I never demand anything from him, and above all, I always respect his choice whether to reply or not, especially since he has no obligation to give us personalized attention.
I know that by replying to you, I’m running the risk of Wil getting mad at me for stepping in, but I am not going to allow you to make him look bad, playing the victim and saying you miss him when you’re the one harassing him!
Please rethink your attitude, and I’ll say it again: if you care about him, don’t hurt him.

I have been very clear that I do not engage in email discussions or direct interactions with fans, ever, for any reason. I have repeated this to you more than once. I have been very clear that you need to save any questions for my scheduled AMAs, when I will be happy to answer them. I have been very clear about all this, yet you email me multiple times a day and leave multiple comments here and elsewhere, ignoring what I have said.
It is profoundly disrespectful to not listen to what I have communicated very, very clearly, more than once. My patience has now run out.
I need to be very clear again: your constant demands for my attention are unwelcome and I need you to stop. If you can’t listen to me now and respect my boundaries, I will have no choice but to block you.
